#Witchdiary #Seasons #Mabon
A Witchdiary recording for ethnic authenticity and cultural resources. Sitting down and doing crafts for Midsomer... It dawned what am I doing? I often run out of time to do things per the eight seasonal changes acknowledged in ancient European or White cultural practices. Here we are in the Southern hemispheres Midautumn or Autumnal equinox and Im still doing todos to finish my midsomer list. Although I have been productive and busy I have felt stuck with things outside of my self stuck in inertia. As soon as I physically started changing the linens, the floral arrangements, the tree and so forth along with my mindset inc spiritual energies ethnic to whites origins at this time of the year. For my kin in the North you are in Midsprings or Vernal equinox. Recorded in the tide of Midautumns Mabon, Southern Hemisphere

Midautumns Mabon (Ethnic European Thanksgiving or Second harvest of the year/Autumnal equinox)
(n) Sep 22nd +
(s) Mar 1st +
Also called Freyfaxi, Hleifblot. Mabon or Harvest Home in ethnic European folklore and tradition, which is the tide of the Autumnal equinox, marking the second harvest of the year before the third and final before winters/New years eve or ‘Samhuinn’. The festive or seasonal tide goes by other names across the ethnic European scope including the Feast of the Ingathering, Mean Fomhair, An Clabhsur, or Alban Elfed (in Neo-Druid traditions). The seasonal tide which marks mid Autumn (Not the beginning of) is traditional a time for the feast of the apples for they are aplenty then and apples are also symbolic of eternal youth/life (Idun)
In Wicca, the name Mabon was coined for this tradition of midautumn or harvest home by Aidan Kelly around 1970, as a reference to Mabon ap Modron, a character from Welsh mythology. That said the name Mabon is derived from the Common Brittonic and Gaulish deity name Maponos "Great Son", from the Proto-Celtic root *makwo- "son", dating back to the Bronze, similarly, Modron is derived from the name of the Brittonic and Gaulish deity Matrona, meaning "Great Mother", from Proto-Celtic *matir "mother". There’s also conjecture that the tradition of Madron and Mabon (Mother and Son) was actually what was appropriated by the Abrahamic religions of mother and son in the monotheistic cults respectively, as example; the holy mother Mary and baby Jesus. This was common practice in order to deliberately replace the pagan and heathen folks loyalty to ethnic tradition with something another group not of European ethnicity can control, Fargo control the ‘newly’ converted and severe ethnic roots over time. Personally I do not practice Wicca for it isn’t ethnos based but I still use many of the eleme

Also called Winternacht, Yh Tauin (the latter being Manx) ld Irish Samain or Samuin, samani ("assembly"). Samain or Samuin was the name of the festival (feis) marking the beginning of winter in Gaelic Ireland. On Gaulish Coligny calendar, dating from the 1st century BC, the month name SAMONI is likely related to the word Samain and includes the word for "summer". A festival of some kind may have been held during the "three nights of Samoni" (Gaulish TRINOX SAMONI). The month name GIAMONI, six months later, likely includes the word for "winter".

Eostre/Ostara/Eastra/Austra is Germanic of both race and acknowledgment and in Druidry a time of the vernal equinox tide. Eastra is a ethnically Germanic Gottess of midspring or inbetweens, celebrating and recognizing the tide of midsprings arrival pre the arrival of Summers Bealtainne in the European ancestor veneration/spirits in the wheel of the year... Abrahamic Easter is an appropriation of the broad ethnic European or White tradition/culture within the vernal equinox in Druidry a time of the vernal equinox tide.

Midwinters Yule (Ethnic European acknowledgement of the midwinter solstice)
(n) Dec 21st +
(s) Jun 21st +
Also called Alban Arthuan, Mutternaht. Yul or Jul is a ethnic Germanic custom of celebrating and recognising the tide of midwinter in the European ancestor veneration/spirits in the wheel of the year... Midwinter, Brumalia, and Saturnalia are also other ethnic European celebrations noticing this seasonal tide. Midwinter, known commonly as Yule or within modern Druid traditions as Alban Arthan, has been recognised as a significant turning point in the yearly cycle since the late Stone Age. The ancient megalithic sites of Newgrange, Stonehenge, and Seahenge, carefully aligned with the solstice sunrise and sunset, exemplify this. The reversal of the Sun's ebbing presence in the sky symbolizes the rebirth of the solar gott and presages the return of fertile seasons. From Germanic to Roman tradition, this is the most important time of celebration. On mothers night it isthe longest night after the shortest day and the new sun in the sky slowly extends daylight again.
Practices vary, but offerings, feasting, and gift giving are common elements of Midwinter festivities. Bringing sprigs and wreaths of evergreenery (such as holly, ivy, mistletoe, yew, and pine) into the home and tree decorating are also common during this time in white or European/Anglo culture. In Roman traditions additional festivities take place during the six days leading up to Midwinter. Another aspect in traditions of Europe is the wild hunt.

Midsommers Litha (Ethnic European acknowledgement of the midsummer solstice/Light on the Shore)
(n) June 21+
(s) Dec 21+
Midsommer (or Sommersonnenwende in German) is an German Ethnic cutsom, along with many other parts of ethnic European practices by different names celebrating one of the four solar tides which are mid seasonal. It's considered the turning point at which summer reaches its height and the sun shines longest. In preservation of a list of the Anglo-Saxon names for the twelve months. Litha means gentle or navigable, because in both these months the calm breezes are gentle and they were wont to sail upon the smooth sea". In Druidic reconstruction the tide is known as Alban Hefin. The sun in its greatest strength is greeted and celebrated on this holiday, with links to Stonehenge and Seahenge. Personally it is a time for the Sea in my Druidic practice in the European ancestor veneration/spirits in the wheel of the year and a day...
