Martin is captured by pirate-slavers and loses his father's sword. The villain Badrang seems to be more developed than Cluny in the first Redwall book. Early we see Martin standing up for fellow slaves and being beaten then lashed to poles presumably to be eaten by birds. We meet Rose and Grumm - Jacques moles and voles have absolutely great voices. In Episode 2 we will learn if Rose and Grumm can rescue Martin from winding up as bird food. All rights belong to their respective holders.
