Nice radio this. weights in at just under 3.6 with the six 1.5 volt batteries (2.8 without).
Needs a service as drifts off station, but a lovely radio, well worth servicing! I got the leather case for it as well.
I saw it on a professional bootseller's van dashboard, playing.
"Are you selling the radio?" I asked him.
"No", he smiled.
A few months later, or maybe even the during the next season, I asked him again, this time he said, "OK go on then, 30 euros."
Hmmmm, that's a lot for me, but I think we settled on 25.
When I discovered it drifted I wasn't too upset. Great in any collection and normal that it should need a service.
Sorry I don't really give a look around it, or play with tone controls. It sounds a bit trebbly, and seeing as I've just bought it down, put some batteries in it and fired it up, 15 months later, I can confirm the treble only needs to be on 2, no doubt some caps could be changed also. So far it's still holding the station, half an hour after locking on to it.
Reception in this area is technically known as, shyte.

I changed the belt on the deck, but found playback to be super fast and no easy method of regulating it. I l found a service manual and it's a complicated transistor regulator arrangement regulator, fed by various electro caps. First thing would be to change them, and hope that does it, then also sort out the record level which is too low.
Leaving that for the moment I settled on just replacing the belt, rethreading the FM tuning cord, cleaning up the badly hazed top plastic screen with toothpaste, and sorting out a sticking power switch.
At one point in the video (start of Rubber Band Man I switch to Sony, and it appears?? to sound better. Trust me, the Philips sounds better than the Sony, although Sony also a nice radio.
(I think a neighbour began running a cement mixer, not grinding bacon.)

There's a copyright claim on the music.
"The Content ID claim on your video doesn't affect your channel. This is not a copyright strike."
Not a copyright strike against me, but someone has claimed the video for monitization. Pas moi.

The 2nd highest lock in France, 10.5 meters water level change.
This is from the summer of 2020, after confinement ended, ahh the good ol' days.
I was invited to go out of a boat for a day, down the Saone river, toward Chalon sur Saone, and then heading up the Canal Du Centre, via this monster lock.
The vertical concrete barrier at the east end dropped and it began to fill.
It rises a meter every 30 seconds according to the counting. And if the area of the lock is ... guessing, .. scratches head, 5 meters wide x 25 long = 250 cubic meters of water a minute flooding in.
