Why Can India Say No To The US?
In today's video, we talk about why India does not confront China and Russia per Biden's request.
Like a wise miser from one of Shakespeare's famous plays, Modi uses the tension between China, the US and Russia to maximize benefits for India, unwilling to confront any of those three world powers.
Before Biden went to Asia, the media disclosed that Biden's purpose was to build a more profound and broader alliance in the so-called Indo-Pacific region to deter China and corner Russia with his allies.
Biden wants to achieve these two goals, and he understands India is the most crucial part.
It is not the case at all, however.
The joint statement issued after the Quad summit did not directly mention China and Russia. India believes that the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue should focus on the Indo-Pacific region. Russia does not pose a threat to the region, and therefore, the quad nations should remain neutral.
