Art Resin Review and Resin Geode Tutorial
In this video, I review Art Resin Epoxy Resin.
I am not sponsored by Art Resin and have received no compensation for this review. All expressed opinions and free from bias. (However, if any Art Resin reps are watching, I would love to accept an donations you want to send! :))
Art Resin lives up to it's reputation.
Pros:
It has a long working time, 45-60 minutes!
The viscosity is just right for resin art paintings and there are no noticeable fumes after mixing.
Bubbles rise to the surface easily and the resin is very transparent.
A strong UV filter prevents yellowing and Art Resin mixes easily with multiple mediums. (mediums use in this project listed below)
For this large Art Resin Epoxy Resin Geode Wall Art piece, I started with a 2ft by 4ft MDF board. I cut this board into three peices, one for each side of the geode and one for the crystal center piece.
Next, I gessoed the canvas with three coats of white gesso.
I then spray painted a rough design pattern on the canvas.
I added my crystals, secured them with epoxy and added the Art Resin that I mixed with several different types of mediums.
I use silicone tools and a heat gun to make the designs in the geode.
After curing, I added details with a gold leafing pen.
I love the way this piece turned out and I will be using Art Resin again!

Thank you to everyone who watched this live resin Swipe. My mum's birthday is on Valentine's day and this piece is for her newly remodeled bathroom.
Unfortunately, my phone died about 45 min in so the final swipes were not recorded. However, you get a good idea of how we created this.
Check out the channel for a video of the final piece! Or click this link: https://youtu.be/7F5uHy5R1Ko
We love the result of this resin swipe and we had lots of fun making it! :) We hope everybody had an amazing Valentine's Day.
Remember, single or in a relationship, Valentine's Day should always be about loving yourself. The more you work on that, the happier you'll be and the happier your relationships will be. ❤️?❤️?

This video contains an honest review of Craft Resin Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin for artists. First, I explain Craft Resin's features, including a discussion on viscosity and which projects low viscosity resin is suitable for. I also included mixing instructions and discuss the ideal working conditions for the Craft Resin product. The video concludes with a Craft Resin product test. For the test I make a wine butler and coaster set. I use a variety of pigments for this project to see how they interact with the craft resin. During the demolding discuss how you can get a discount on Craft Resin and have included the links below.

This video shows the process I use to make large geode resin wall art. One of the first people I watched do a resin geode piece was Mrs. Colorberry. She is incredibly talented and I am proud to have worked my way up to make pieces like this. I started small, as you can see on my channel, but this size geode challenged me. I am very happy with the results. The piece is done on MDF board, I cut with a jigsaw. Here are the products used in this piece:

In this video, I show the process used to create my latest resin piece. Dutch pours, usually done with acrylic paint and pouring mediums, involve blowing base colors over the primary colors in your piece then blowing the primary colors back out over your base colors. I know, sounds confusing. Hopefully the video aids understanding of this method.
The artist most often credited for this technique is Rinske Douna. She does some amazing art, which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUja5EAzgfB0ViodBt_Pj8CitTkDXWgR2
Other artists have attempted the Dutch pour technique using resin. Here are some of my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXHv_QdC0zB9-jbJTyuF9axx4CTony87H
I call the technique I used in the piece a DOUBLE Dutch pour simply because I repeated the process twice. Nervously, I went for it, thinking, if my colors got too muddy I'd chalk it up to 'another learning experience!' In my opinion, it turned out better than expected.
