Guys, we have an SOS situation! Your help is very necessary! Another "gift" from irresponsible citizens. On the front line we have again Ukraine, Zaporozhye, volunteer for bats Olesya Kulyk. Apparently, people were doing repairs and found a colony of wintering red noctresses and did not find anything better how to throw them into the trash cans. Details can be found at Olesya on Instagram @olesyakulyk or on the Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2852673358342862&id=100008006769000
At the moment, 681 bats have been rescued and are being prepared for transportation for wintering to the Kharkiv Bat @kharkiv_bat_group Rehabilitation Center (the largest in Europe), where 2,000 animals are already hibernating.

Megabats are very important pollinators and seed disperses of many native plants including Eucalyptus, figs, bush apples (Syzygium spp.), bush plums (Terminalia spp.), paperbarks, guerrillas, and fruits of many palm species. The seeds of some plant species (particularly those with white and green fruits) may only be dispersed by Megabats, meaning that these plants rely on Megabats in order to successfully reproduce.
It has been estimated that a single Megabat can dispense up to 60,000 seeds in a single night.
Megabats are also important for nutrient regeneration and nutrient cycling within the ecosystem.
Not only do they provide large quantities of fertilizer to the system, but they create gaps in the canopy which enables other plants to compete more effectively. For instance, some trees shade ground-dwelling plants and shrubs, preventing them from obtaining nutrients, light and rain. By creating a gap in the canopy, Megabats enable these plants to obtain more sunlight, rainfall and nutrients, thus promoting a more diverse plant community, with cascading benefits for many other animals and plants.

/\^..^/\
The White-striped Freetail Bat is the largest of all the free-tail bats and is one of the few microbats with echolocation calls that can be heard by humans. They are known as freetail bats because part of their bony tail extends beyond the tail membrane.
Habitat
White-striped Freetail Bats roost in hollows in old trees and under loose bark, in dead stumps and the ceilings of buildings. Up to several hundred bats live together in a colony.
Feeding and Diet
White-striped Freetail Bats feed on flying insects above the tree canopy. They fly quickly and eat their prey as they fly.
Conservation Status
White-striped Freetail Bats are vulnerable to loss of tree hollows and loss of feeding grounds by forestry activities, clearing for agriculture and housing
