A Sunnah Way of Living ✨ ➡️ Importance of Talbina in Islam Talbina is mentioned in a number of saheeh ahaadeeth that it soothes out the heart of the sick people and takes away some of their grief and gives them energy. (Al-Bukhaari, 5365; al-Bukhaari, 5101 Muslim, 2216) Talbina is a protection against angina, reduction of blood supply and cardiac infarction. It also protects against diseases of the heart and circulatory system, as it protects the arteries from arteriosclerosis – especially the major arteries of the heart. For those who have been using Talbina and affected by these vascular and cardiac problems, will find Talbina with its health benefits for it can play an important role in preventing their symptoms from getting worse. This shows the miraculous nature of the words of the Prophet ﷺ as mentioned earlier. ?‍? Recipe of Talbina: ➡️ Ingredients: ✅ Milk: 1 ltr ✅ Dates: 8 (soaked thoroughly overnight, without date-stones) ✅ Barley: 2 tbsp (soaked up to 5 hours/ overnight prior) ✅ Dry fruits (Cashew, Almonds, Pistachio, Raisin): 1 cup (chopped) ✅ Sugar/ brown sugar/ honey: 1 cup/ as per taste/ 2 tbsp (assorted) ➡️ Process: 1️⃣ Boil the milk 2️⃣ Then add the soaked wheat into boiling milk and cook for about 5 minutes (or more) on a medium heat. 3️⃣ Then add the soaked datestone-free dates and cook until it gets dissolved 4️⃣ Add sugar and dry fruits and cook for about 2 minutes more. It shall be a thick-thin mixture. Serve cold. ⚠️ NOTE: Do not overcook it, take it down the stove when it starts to become thick as it will become more viscous once cooled down. ?
