We’re talking whitetails in the second hour this week with Chad Stewart of the Michigan DNR. Chad has details on proposed hunting regulation changes for the fall and he talks briefly about the whitetail fawning season.
Cody Norton is up next. Cody is a bear specialist for the Department. He has an update on the state’s bear population and reminds us this is the time to apply for a permit.
The “Ask Avery” segment this week deals with the topic of choosing the right broadhead for bear hunting.
We switch gears in the final hour and talk fishing with “Michigan’s Mr. Walleye”, Mark Martin. Mark talks about his four decades as a professional angler. He also describes some great springtime fishing action in the Keewenaw Peninsula.
Then, wild game chef Dave Minar wraps it all up with another tasty recipe.
