Fallas 2021 Day #4 - Mascletà Pirotecnia Caballer FX - Long Explosion String
This Mascletà by Caballer FX was set up at the Campus de Tarongers part of the University of Valencia. Annoyingly the Mascletà was all fenced in and spectators had to stand pretty far away from it.
This daylight firework started out pretty monotone but made up for it at the end with a crazy string of explosions. Never seen a long one like this before.
This is the second to last day of Fallas 2021 and the excitement is continuing to build up. We would be back on the same spot on the same day that night for the Nit de Foc, a spectacular night firework display.
What is this firework? Read all about it on our Valencia Travel Blog:
Did you know you can go on a Safari Bus in Ohio and hand feed some giraffes. You also get to see Rhinos and Ostriches. Header over to East Ohio for The Wilds.

Visiting Xàtiva is probably one of our most favorite day-trips from our home base Valencia. Xàtiva can be easily reached by the local train network and and you've arrived, all points of interests can be discovered on foot. And after all the exploring you should seek out one of the restaurants giving Arroz al Horno a try, which is a speciality of Xàtiva.
In this video you can admire views over the old town of Xàtiva with its massive cathedral, the Ermita Sant Josep, beautiful hilly landscapes with the castle in the distance and parts of its fortifications.

We arrived at Arlington National Cemetery with time to tour the grounds and to see the last changing of the guard of the day at sunset.
Seeing all those graves gives you the chills, but it also had something beautiful - the repeating patterns of the crosses with the city of Washington DC as a backdrop.
They also began placing the Christmas wreaths on each grave.
We arrived at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier just before the final change of guards - a moving ceremony that takes place every hour when the cemetery is open and every 2 hours when the cemetery is closed (during the winter months).

This was our last day on Phu Quoc and found this amazing beach and fish restaurant. Days like this we love! Totally off the beaten path.
Sadly, very soon this will be swollowed by big resorts. If you can, go now and visit Phu Quoc! It's changing so fast! Too fast.

The iconic photo with a Tram 28 and a big cathedral in the background is shot right in front of the Se! You'll see many visitors hanging around in that area for a tram to pass by to take the same shot.
The inside is beautiful and we highly recommend to pay extra for the cloister and the museum upstairs! There you can stand right under the beautiful rose stained window.

We always assumed that the Spanish Moss we encountered during our For91days in Savannah:
https://savannah.for91days.com/
wasn't coming from Spain. After this hike I'm not that sure anymore because that moss we saw during this hike looks awfully similar to the moss in Savannah. I was searching around the internet a bit but couldn't find any connection quite yet but I will continue my research and I'll share.
This was a fairly easy hike - most of the time it was just flat and this Caldera Hike is probably scoring pretty low compared to all the other hikes we've done on Tenerife.

So far so good - the Fallas Festival for 2022 is schedule und things are going according to the regular plan. That would be the first time since 2019 that Fallas was fully held during it's normal month of March. We're feeling hopefully that nothing will come in between but as I said, so far so good.

The Ninot Exhibition is the first taste of this year;s Fallas, where commissions are sending their best / favorite pieces to the exhibition. From there, visitors can get a sense what the themes are for some of the Fallas Figures. If you like the small Ninot figure you probably going to like the full figure.
Which is your favorite one?

Cape Coast was the very last stop from our Ghana Tour before heading back to Accra. Maybe we were tired from being on the road but Cape Coast didn't won us over and to be honest we didn't have the best time there. We felt there were not too many food options, people were a bit hostile (especially at the touristic spots) and overall not too many things to explore within the town itself.
But we did take couple of day trips and had a great time overall but do we have to go back to Cape Coast again? Probably not! Read soon why we didn't like Cape Coast on our Ghana Travel Blog:
