Challenge except, this is a drink you can keep sipping on. It's like a sweet tart meets a grape flavored daiquiri that looks really cool and has a nice sour bite. For some people this may be a "one and done", others will want to make this as a big punch bowl cocktail. It's great for the summer, with the right bite of lemon against grape.
Question of the day, what's your favorite grape color?
The Polynesian Spell 1 ½ oz gin 1 oz grape juice (the purple stuff) ¾ oz fresh lemon juice ¼ oz triple sec ¼ oz peach brandy ½ tsp simple syrup
A fun tiki cocktail recipe for the summer time at the pool, or for a speciality menu at the restaurant for those looking for simple tiki drinks that you can offer your customers over the next few months.

Today we review Knob Creek Straight Rye Whiskey, 100 Proof. We then pull out the Knob Creek 120 Proof Bourbon Single Barrel and the standard 100 proof Knob Creek bourbon.
We answer the question, "what does rye whiskey taste like?" when comparing it to a bourbon. We try to devise a name for "musky" outside of using the word musky.

The Irish Coffee is no doubt considered a classic today and there are no doubt a wide variety of ways to do it. This is supposed to be the most classic version (we pulled it from https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/original-irish-coffee-recipe-1915164) and it should get you started with something fun and exciting.
Of course, the flavors will depend on your coffee selection, and to some degree, your Irish whiskey selection. Pick your favorite so you have the best Irish coffee experience.
Irish Coffee
- 8 oz Hot Coffee
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1.5 oz Irish Whiskey
- Heavy Cream (whipped)
Add cream to my whipper and turn it on. Fill mug or with hot water to preheat it, then empty.
Pour piping hot coffee into warmed glass until it is about 3/4 full. Add the brown sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Blend in Irish whiskey. Top with a collar of the whipped heavy cream by pouring gently over back of spoon. Serve hot.

The Red Hook is another manhattan variation that gets its name from a NYC neighborhood area. This manhattan does bring a sweet vermouth, with a hint of bitter utilizing Punt e Mes.
Punt e Mes is a red sweet vermouth with a little bite to it, and maraschino liqueur brings out a bit of a different flare to this manhattan, making it just that much more interesting.

The Circa Tabac, supposedly a historic cocktail although we couldn't find anything in some basic searching as this is also a cigar bar, restaurant name which dominates some of the results.
This cocktail brings together a few bitters in combination with bourbon and champagne making it very similar to the Seelbach cocktail minus the orange liqueur.

The New York Sour is sorta of like a Boston Sour but from New York...so, you know, it has red wine in it. We're using a Shiraz from Australia and it gives a nice rich purple color to the build of this cocktail.
The silky texture of an egg white cocktail is always great and the fruity and tannin flavor of the wine combined with the dry silky flavor of the egg white with just a moderate oak flavor is also well received.

Today we're going to show you how to make the cosmopolitan, an easy vodka drink with a recipe that's memorizable: https://bit.ly/3OOSlnl
Home Bartender Starter Kit: https://awesomedrinks.com/products/home-bartender-starter-kit/
The Cosmopolitan (or "cosmo") is a simple drink with vodka, and isn't as interesting as you'd expect. This is probably because there isn't a lot of additional flavor, outside of the citrus and cranberry juice.

We have to keep adding alcohol (Jameson Irish Whiskey) to the Irish root Beer because it's hidden well, tastes like a root beer float of sorts utilizing Irish Cream (Coole Swan in this case).
This is a big daddy of a drink and we just can't seem to get it to taste like alcohol so we keep trying with other ingredients, even adding Stroh 160 and other things, including doubling the ingredients to try to get a bit more of a punch.
Irish Root Beer
- 1 oz. Jameson Irish whiskey
- 1/2 oz. Irish cream
- 1/2 oz. Butterscotch schnapps
- 12 oz. Root beer

Today we're going to taste and review Bully Boy Rum Cooperative Volume 1 using Norlan Tasting Glasses available at amazon: http://amzn.to/2sLEen4
Also, our store: http://awesomedrinks.com -- buy cocktail gear!
We love rum, that's nothing new, but we're very particular about the excitement level we get for rums, they have to really wow us or come in at a low price point. At $30, that's a big ask for rum when you can get a $15 light rum for your daiquiri. When the price breaks $25 we start getting particular about the flavor profile.
This rum comes in sweet, but not too sweet, potent but not too burny on the backend, and has a nice round flavor with some molasses, butterscotch and vanilla / oak. We're not at the $50 range so we're not looking for a sipper, we want something that will play well in some basic cocktail designs using rum.
Sure, light rum often works but aged rum that's got a few more years on it tends to give more depth of character and overall experience. Plus, you can only have so many basic daiquiri's before you yearn for something a bit different. Bully Boy doesn't disappoint.
Given the label "volume 1", we can only imagine more volumes coming in the future? Oh yes, let's hope!
