Sahra Wagenknecht slammed the West's "irresponsible, inhumane policy" of condemning Ukrainian soldiers to death by fuelling the Kiev war machine as she opened the first congress of the new political party that bears her name.
"Ukrainians are supposed to carry on and die for our freedom, and we shall supply them with weapons until their victory, which, unfortunately, even the Ukrainian generals no longer believe in," she told the audience, before concluding that negotiations are the only way to end the conflict.
'There are 150 NATO bases spread all over our territory. As an Italian, I think, we are treated more like a colony than an ally.'
Salvatore, an artist and the subject of our film, doesn't agree with his government's foreign policy. He is one of several Italians opposing NATO's vast influence network in Italy, and the government's anti-Russian stance. Amedeo Avondet, a student, agrees with him and even leads anti-Russophobia protests, despite facing an online backlash and even accusations of espionage by local media.
