‘We went there to protect people. If we withdraw, the civilians will be screwed.’
Vladislav Alankin, platoon commander with Russian Pacific Fleet’s naval Infanty, takes part in Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. Vladislav said that the Ukrainian soldiers treat civilians mercilessly, using them as shields, and firing weapons from their apartments.
He claims the civilians are left by the Ukrainian troops in very bad condition. More than half of all medicine the Russian soldiers brought for themselves, they gave to the wounded Donbass people: ‘We couldn’t just leave them without help’.
Vladislav’s interview is in our video. Watch it and find out more about the Russian serviceman.
