How to Convert Your PS3 from CFW to PS3HEN
Several CFW PS3 owners have been curious to try PS3HEN or have even preferred it, but they weren't sure which steps would need to be taken to migrate their console from a CFW setup to a PS3HEN installation. Although ther might be some confusion and worry over the process of installing HFW and PS3HEN, this tutorial should hopefully ease those worries by showing the process step-by-step.

Keep in mind this is not the equivalent of a full custom firmware (CFW) or jailbreak! PS3HEN does not have the full access CFW contains, but much of the functionality people are looking for is available on PS3HEN. Not all homebrew will work on PS3HEN, some of it will require either resigning to 3.55 or will need an update from the author.

Although this tutorial was recorded on firmware 4.91, the installation process is the same on higher firmwares as long as all of the software needed has been updated. The only difference would be a higher version of HFW and PS3HEN would need to be used.

As a final warning directly from the PS3Xploit team themselves: DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ENABLE FSM (Factory Service Mode) OR INSTALL CCAPI ON A PS3 WITH PS3HEN!

Happy New Year and whatever else people say when the yearly counter goes up by one digit! One thing I would like to do more of this year is livestreaming, although I don't believe I'm insanely entertaining on a stream I do enjoy the viewer interaction. It gives me a small opportunity to interact with several of you all one on one, so with that I would like to try doing at minimum one monthly Q&A stream for the foreseeable future. These would be pretty low key and relaxed, with either myself on camera using something like Hangouts on Air or with my commentary over a game that I am playing. This time around - Skyrim! I'll do my best to notify you all in advance on here and on social media when a stream will be. Annoyed that you've missed the stream or will be missing it? No worries! Currently in several states there is an attempt to get a bill passed which would be a "Right to Repair" for electronics, requiring hardware manufacturers to sell parts and tools to repair their own hardware to third party repair companies as well as consumers. This would eliminate the monopoly many companies have on their "Authorized Repair" shops, which every big hardware manufacturing company has. A great example here being if we had this bill in effect with the Xbox 360 we would have fair access to the manuals and repair tools that Microsoft would use to fix these consoles at their own repair centers!
