The very best New Year's gift in the whole world. Sachi AND Peanut. Together. It's almost like a nativity scene. We have been so worried because we have only seen Sachi for a few weeks, and had started to worry that hunters may have gotten Peanut. But here they are, back in their usual spot - together. We are so happy. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9HwytV4ED8
We haven’t seen Jenny in her swing in a while. I know we all love these. (This is their inside den area and you can see Frankie fast asleep in the back.)

And this is why we need deer formula - they go through multiple bottles this size every day! They are getting so big! Here is how Susan feeds them all at one time (turn sound on!). If you can donate deer formula please do - we really need it: P.O. Box 155, Otisville, NY, 10963

These two orphaned baby oppossums came in earlier this week and were so still and co very cold we weren't sure they would even make it. But it appears that once again, Susan has sprinkled them with her "thrive dust" and here they are... starting to thrive. Keep up the fight little guys. You're in the home stretch now!

We have some devastating news to share. For the past two weeks Rosie has been ill. It came on so fast and so suddenly that we are shocked. She has been absolutely fine up until about two weeks ago. She even had her nails trimmed not long ago, you might remember. Tomorrow, we will be letting Rosie go and will have an autopsy done. Susan believes she has cancer. Rosie is 27 years old, and yes that is old for a bear, but we are still shocked and grief stricken. (This video of her and Randy was filmed in late February.)

The very first babies of the season have arrived. Three baby girl squirrels. Mom left them in a tractor. Farmer tried to leave them for mom to come back for them, but it didn’t work. So now mama Susan is taking over. Welcome little ones.

An interesting thing about bears is that they only shed once a year. In the spring. When we head toward winter the hair gets longer and thicker. But they don't grow hair all year. So in the spots Maddy was shaven for her ultrasound and examination - you'll see she hasn't grown her hair back yet.

After our little chipmunk's release this week, as we were filming, the most amazing thing happened. Our own Peanut came right out of the woods, walked over and appears to wish the little guy well. Love this!
