WSJT-X is a free software program used for weak-signal digital communication by amateur radio operators. The program was designed for use with low power and a narrow bandwidth, making it useful for communicating over long distances with low signal strengths. See my previous videos for more on this.
Also with WSJT-X we use ACLog (Amateur Contact Log). It is another software program widely used by amateur radio operators. It is a logging program that helps keep track of contacts, exchange information between operators, and generate statistics. ACLog supports various modes and bands and stores all the contact information in a searchable database. The program can also generate custom QSL cards based on the user's preference.
I'll show you an easy way to integrate both WSJT-X and ACLog for a seamless, complete digital communication experience. WSJT-X is used for the communication part, and ACLog for the logging and QSL card management.
2. Setting Up ACLog with WSJT-X WSJT-X setup for your radio and sound cards ACLog setup for API
3. Using ACLog with WSJT-X Use ACLog in the background communicate with WSJT-X See the contact transfer to ACLog from WSJT-X
4. Tips and Tricks for Efficient Operation Setup ACLog for using the rig, but always start WSJT-X first. Use Call Lookup Use online logs instead of paper QSL cards.

The radio in my truck is a Kenwood TS 480, the high power one and I have a scorpion antenna mounted on the side.
The radio in my camper is the icon 7300 and I have Ameritron solid-state amplifier. The antenna is the HiQ mobile antenna.
I am thoroughly impressed with the Icom 7300 and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance and user-friendly radio. Its advanced features and ease of use make it an ideal choice for amateur radio enthusiasts.
I'm an Amateur Radio enthusiast. I love the hobby and experimenting with radios, antennas and software. I have a lot of fun. On my YouTube channel I upload videos mostly on the Icom 7300 and Icom 7610 as well as Ham Radio software programs. I hope to inspire people to get involved in Amateur Radio.

I got a tip from Scott, KN3A on using CI-V commands in software to transmit the voice memory in the radio. This is a simple solution for keying a voice memory in the radio using a software program like DXLab Commander or WinWarbler. The commands below will work in DXLab Commander, WinWarbler as well as other Ham radio software programs.

Operating from my vehicle in Badlands National Park for the ARRL National Parks On The Air. I'm using an Icom 7000 and Alpha MOTO antenna mounted on my roof rack. The latop is a Lenovo P580 and I'm using HRD to log QSOs.
If you're interested in mobile operation I can recommend the Icom 7000. It's a good all around transceiver, has an easy to read LCD, nice tx audio using the stock mic and a very good manual notch filter, NB and NR. With a little practice anyone can become proficient with it. With the detachable control head you can probably find a nice location to mount it. Mine is mounted with a flexible RAM mount attached to my front seat bolt. The main unit is located behind my center console and I have an external speaker mounted on the pillar on the driver's side where the upper portion of the seat belt attaches. (See video)
This is in the early afternoon and I am able to make 20 QSOs in the 9 minute clip.
Stations: KC3BZJ, N6ORB, N7TCO, KS7U, AC8XI, N3GAR, KS4X, WA9OEC,, KM4HQE, AK2L, WP2RIS, K6PGH, WA2VQW, N6HC, NM9P, K7TM, N9RJM, AA5VU, K9ICP and W9AV.
