Hey everyone, this super quick video shows you how to export a patch library that you may have created from Omnisphere. This should only be used on libraries that you have created. By following this process it will create a .omnisphere file that contains both the patches and any samples you've created for that library. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzDj43gc0_Y

In this little quick tip video, we look at using the sequence generated in Omnisphere to control another synthesizer. Although I have used a VST instrument, you can use the same technique to control an external hardware synthesizer.

Stepping back to a retro era with this electronic music track, which is also slightly more upbeat than my recent posts sitting at a nice 138bpm. This track almost never saw the light of day as all I had was a drum beat and a lead. I took a step away from it for an hour or two and came back to write the remainder of this track, which just fell into place.
All the synths and sounds you hear came from Rob Papen's Explorer 6 collection of synthesizers and helped to obtain that retro sound.

Ambient Moonrise is an ambient soundscape built upon a throbbing bass line in the Berlin School style. I love doing these types of compositions as they have freedom about them and don't really conform to an exact style or pattern
The track was built using Spectrasonics Omnisphere and StylusRMX. You can also stream this track from Spotify in this excellent playlist - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3jGNLafDZqwiBJfBnJq6jt?si=J8KEo1lGSBas7M9TpN1KVw

This video shows what you can do with the harmonia section within omnisphere. In a roundabout way, it gives you another four oscillators to play with on top of the main one for the layer you are working on. It truly comes into its own when you use a synth oscillator as it opens the ability to then introduce another four oscillators. These can be used at different pitches so that you can program one key chords, or thicken your sound by making one key play an octave higher and lower at the same time.
There is a truly untapped depth to the harmonia section, once again showing that omnisphere is a very deep synthesizer that you can get lost in and make unique sounds.
I have a whole list of things to show you in omnisphere, but if there is some burning question that you have and would like me to demonstrate, then please pop a comment below.

This is my first patch library for Omnisphere, which is available for purchase at https://www.biodiode.com
All sounds in this demo come from the patch library consisting of 30 patches. It contains some samples from my collection of synths, so you got some free waveforms to play with as well.

In this video, I explain why I bounce my MIDI tracks down to audio before I start mixing. We then move on to how the foundations of the track where laid down and reflect once again on that all important bass sequence.
I finish off by explaining a little about my mixing technique and how I introduce panning on certain tracks to give it that all important stereo width.

Hayfever season is well and truly in full swing so no talking videos this week as my voice is not in good shape. This week I give you a short piece of epic electronic music called floating in the ether realm. This was written for a little project I was working on that required something dark yet hopeful.
The video used clips from Pixabay and the music created inside Cubase Pro 12 using Spectrasonics Omnisphere.
I hope you enjoyed this short piece of music, and please subscribe to the channel. We are almost at the 500 mark, and it would be great if this video pushed us over that number. Thank you all for you support.

In this video we are looking at how to record the latch parameter, which is part of the Live Mode. Basically, latch allows you to sustain the patch whilst playing notes on a different channel within Omnisphere.
We then go one step further and show you how to record the output of Omnisphere as audio in real-time. This will allow you to capture a real-time performance at the same time as other instruments or audio input sources.
This is a deep technical video and if there is anything at all that I talk about or show, which you don't understand please, please, please let me know in the comments below. There are no stupid or daft questions as you can guarantee someone else will have the same question but too afraid to ask.
