Get more Tips here! www.destinationtips.com
There are many similarities to things not to do in Dubai:
*DO NOT give or take things with your left hand:*

Or most Asian and Indian cultures;
Do not point or touch things with your feet.
Or display affection publicly.
Or wear outdoor shoes indoors
Or don't drink tap water.

But here are some of the more quirkier ones;
Don't Diss Cricket!
Do you know who Sachin Tendulkar is?
The Tennis player Maria Sharapova didn't and India responded with the meme Who is Maria Sharapova?
They are cricket mad, so do your homework!

Don't be gay!
Gay relationships are slowly becoming less taboo, however gay sex is still illegal!
Nonetheless, despite being somewhat of a homophobic society, you will often find men holding hands. But this is just a sign of their friendship.

Don't trust strangers!
According to global-gallivanting.com foreigners with open minds and hearts have had a bad time because they trusted the wrong person. People will overcharge you for pretty much everything, you may be duped into something like calling a redstone college the Red Fort or even be tricked into going to unsafe places. Think twice when you are approached by the overly friendly person.

Don't give money to the poor!
Poverty is a serious issue in India, but it is advisable that you
don’t give money to the poor, there is a possibility of them being
involved in an underground network of beggars. If you really want to help, share a packet of cookies or bottle of water with them Money is a no-no.

Don't Reject food from your host!
There is an ancient Hindu scripture which states that a “Guest is like God”. They will come to you with food that never seems to end. Accept food at a host’s place, or you would have hurt their feelings.

Don't have a cow!
Cows are sacred to Hindus! You are not going to be seen positively if you say you eat beef. Many restaurants in India are vegetarian, pescetarian or may offer chicken.

Don't Help With The Dishes!
Indian men do not help in the kitchen. And guests are not supposed to wash dishes in the host's place. So, do not be the ideal house guest and offer to help with the dishes.
