Cows are sacred to Hindus! You are not going to be seen positively if you say you eat beef. Many restaurants in India are vegetarian, pescetarian or may offer chicken.
Don't Help With The Dishes!
Indian men do not help in the kitchen. And guests are not supposed to wash dishes in the host's place. So, do not be the ideal house guest and offer to help with the dishes.

Here are 10 things that SUCK about being a pilot!
1. Paying For Flight School.
Flight school is stressful and expensive, even if you can scrape together enough money to pay for it, you are still under extra stress because if you fail an exam or have to take an extra check flight it'll cost even more of that money that you just don't have.
2. Finding a Job.
Once you've got through flight school it's hard to get a job because you lack flight experience. Basically you are forced to take any job you can get in order to gain experience so that you can apply for a job with bigger commercial airlines.
3. Jetlag.
For every one-hour time change, your body takes up to one day to adjust to the new time zone.
A flight from London to L.A would require at least 7 days to recover, but pilots may stay only three days before having to return to London and then a few days after that, have to do an early morning flight to a completely different time-zone.
This plays absolute havoc with their circadian rhythm.
4. Waking Up Early.
If a pilots home base is at an airport with 24-hour operation they are going to have to get up extremely early especially if they have a commute to the airport. This can completely upset a pilot's family and leisure time as well as their sleep cycles.
5. No Weekends.
Pilots who have been with the company the longest get more weekends off.
This means that the majority of pilots have to work most of the weekends in the month and try to fit shopping, leisure, and social time in during the week.
6. Away From Home.
Sometimes pilots can find that they have 5-day layovers in their monthly roster, this can happen up to 4 times a month. So in a whole month, a pilot could find themselves sleepy only 10 nights in their own bed. This is difficult to combine with family life and if you're single it has the additional inconvenience that a lot of groceries are going to go bad in your fridge.
7. Standby Duty.
Being on standby requires pilots to be within an hour of the airport just in case a fellow pilot becomes ill and can't fly.
If a pilot's house is over an hour away from the airport they will have to stay in a hotel room or rent a flat nearby so that they can get to the airport in time, then they just have to wait by the phone until they're needed.
8. Fear of the Medical Exam.
Pilots have to undergo an annual medical exam, and this is a moment they all fear, a combination of a few minor things could mean they are deemed unfit for work, and if it turns out they have a long-term illness they could easily lose their job.
9. Changing Company.
As a pilot you are more or less obliged to stay with the airline company you begin with, this is because the longer you are with them the more pay and privileges you receive and the better your monthly rost

Texas is the only place on Earth that can blend the Old West, BBQ, football, oil and space exploration into one unique culture. However, as quirky and fun a place as it seems, there are definitely some things you should avoid doing whilst visiting!
1. Don't expect Chicken Fried Steak to actually be Chicken.
Chicken-fried steak refers to the cooking method, not the meat! It is Steak, fried using the same technique as "fried chicken". Ergo; Chicken-fried steak.
Interestingly enough Spain has a similar dish that's called "Cachopo".
2. Don't put ketchup on your burger.
There aren't many strict guidelines when it comes to burgers, but there is one hard and fast rule: ketchup is only for French fries. Mayo and mustard, however, are acceptable condiments for burgers. This is according to Barry Popik, who compiled a list of terms like "Yankee Burger," which refers to a burger topped with ketchup.
3. Don't Forget to Go Large
If you're traveling through a state that's as large as the 39th biggest country in the world, you're going to need to take a break at some point. The Buc-ee's convenience store in New Braunfels is the largest in the world, with a massive 66,335 square feet of space. As an added bonus, it also has the longest car wash in the world, so you can give your vehicle a thorough cleaning whilst you pick up some snacks.
Of course, Texas is also home to the World's largest Belt Buckle and Cowboy boot.
4. Don't Confuse Coke with Coca-cola.
It doesn't matter if it's a Dr Pepper, 7-Up, some fancy schmancy soda you bought from Central Market, or a can of Grape Crush - it's all just a coke to a Texan. So, if someone offers you a coke down in Texas, the correct response is, "Sure thing! What kind of coke do you have on hand?" Not, "Nah, I think I'll pass on the coke and go for a Diet Sprite instead." Just take a look at this map of the different names people use for soft drinks by county, and you'll see what I mean.
5. Don't Forget To Hire A Car.
Texas is absolutely massive!
If you're trying to get from one city to another, it can take a while - we're talking hours! And unfortunately, if you're outside of a larger city, you're not going to have many public transportation options. You'll have to drive or fly. But if you do take a road trip through Texas, make sure to keep an eye on other drivers and try to avoid rush hour if you can.
6. Don't Stroke an Armadillo.
Armadillos are cute, little creatures that are known for their hard shells and their habit of rooting around for food. However, about 20% of them carry leprosy! It's believed that armadillos acquired the bacteria that causes leprosy from humans after Christopher Columbus arrived in the Americas, and they can transmit it to humans who come into contact with them. In fact, armadillos are responsible for about 33% of leprosy cases in the United States each year, with most of those cases occurring in Texas and Louisiana. So, while they might be cute to look at, it's best to avoid touching armadillos!
7. Don't Avoid The Bar-B-Queue!
Nobody likes waiting in line, but when it comes to barbecue joints, it's a good sign if there's a crowd waiting outside. In the larger cities, you might even have to wait up to two hours to get a table at the really popular places, but trust us - it's worth it. If there's no queue, it's usually for a good reason!
8. Don't Mess with Texas!
This phrase is often used to show pride in the state, and it's not meant to be taken literally. However, it's a good idea to respect the state and its residents. Don't point if you see someone dressed as a cowboy or mock someone's boots. Remember Texas is also an Open Carry state!

Everyone knows this event sucks. Say anything contrary and you are lying through your teeth.
For all our Non-Canadian friends, Nuit Blanche is a free, annual, city-wide celebration of contemporary art.
4. Don’t say that Montreal is better than Toronto.
There seems to be quite a rivalry between the two cities.

1. Bodie, California
This National Historic Landmark is a perfectly preserved example of the late nineteenth century gold mining towns of California. Rumor has it, any visitor who tries to sneak off with an artifact from this ghost town will be cursed with bad luck!
2. St. Elmo, Colorado
St. Elmo was a lively mining center with a booming population of 2000 until the local railroad closed down. Apparently, the ghost of former resident Annabelle Stark keeps watch over the town.
3. Centralia, Pennsylvania
Centralia is home to 10 stubborn people who refuse to move and was the main inspiration for the horror movie Silent Hill. A mine fire which has been burning under the town since 1962 has caused most residents to leave over the years.
4. Bannack, Montana
With a thriving population of 10,000 it was nicknamed the New Eldorado by the hopeful prospectors. It also once had an outlaw gang leader as its sheriff. Each July, there’s a re-enactment festival celebrating the town’s former glory.
5. Cahawba, Alabama
Cahawba was once the capital of Alabama but today is an archeological park open to visitors. You can wander around and view the many abandoned streets and ruins of this formerly important governmental center.
6. Rhyolite, Nevada

1. Burma

4. Iran
To its credit, Iran is slowly working to undo years of internet oppression. Internet speeds have risen and more people have begun to make use of mobile internet. That said, in the last two years several noted activists have been arrested as a result of anti-government Facebook posts, so...it still has a lot of ground to make up.
5. Syria
Anyone having the gumption to say something critical is routinely silenced by the harshest means possible. Of course, all things in perspective, “censored internet” is the least of Syria’s issues right now.
6. Ethiopia
The Ethiopian government blocks access to apps that might share their mistakes with the world. The government has also cracked down on people who would teach others how to make their computers more secure, say, from government snooping.
7. Cuba
The internet is relegated to certain access points. Writing or searching for anything that’s critical of the government is a big no-no, and users may also be subject to having their search history searched at a moment’s notice.
8. Uzbekistan
The VoIPs such as Skype have been completely banned in the country since July of 2015. What’s more, last year, the government passed strict new laws that allowed them to give serious jail time to people who would threaten public stability over social media.
9. Vietnam

3. Make Your Own Traditions
Traditions are just things that we do repeatedly because we enjoy them, so why not start your own? Ugly sweater competitions, family Christmas crafts, "quizmas" quiz nights, and Christmas film fests are just a few ideas.
4. Take Christmas Outside Too!
With social distancing and limited gatherings, you may find you'll be entertaining outdoors more this Christmas, so prepare yourself!

1. Canada Is Close, But Stricter
Canada Is probably closest to America in terms of gun laws. You have to be 18, pass a background check, and take a public safety course. However, Canadians don’t tend to use their guns on each other like in the U.S. Canada’s firearm-related homicide rate is around seven times lower than America's.
2. Israel Gets by With Its Unique Culture
In Israel, military service is compulsory. So because pretty much everyone is a soldier, guns of all types are a daily reality in the country.
3. Japan Leans Strict Regulation
Japan is the country with the lowest instance of gun crime in the world. Only one in every ten million of its citizens are victims of gun crime. Some experts link this phenomenon to Japan’s incredibly strict gun laws.
4. Germany Has Seen Good Results From Psychiatric Tests
Germany has an incredibly high ownership of guns. However, the gun homicide rate in the country is one of the lowest in the entire world. It probably has something to do with the strict psychiatric tests for anyone under the age of 25 applying for a gun license.
5. How Afghanistan Operates in the Aftermath of War
About one in 25 people own a gun there, and except for a background check, it’s reasonably easy to own a private weapon and even carry it openly in the streets.
6. South Africa Takes a While
The process of getting a firearm in the country can take up to two years from the date of your first application and citizens are even required to submit to a home review.
7. The United Kingdom Offers Odd Statistics
Since the 80's, the U.K. has implemented increasingly stringent firearms laws. However, according to analysts, gun crimes in the UK didn’t actually peak until 2004, leading them to believe that in some cases, legislation doesn’t curb gun crime.
