Subscribe for more fun in the Philippines and hit me on Snapchat: pliez1000 My Digital Nomad buddies and I were living in Davao City for a the month of January, only 3 hours away from the hometown of Manny Pacquiao, General Santos City aka Gensan, the southernmost city in the Philippines, so we decided to take a weekend trip to Gensan to see what it was all about. It started off with visiting the Wild Card gym where he began training for the Pacquiao - Bradley fight the next day, Then I headed to his favorite restaurant called Gamay Eatery, where I happened to meet his cousin who was eating there. He saw that I was alone (the homies went back but I stayed an extra day to try my luck when we heard Pacman was in the city), so he offered to give me a full Pacquiao-inspired tour of the city, and later attended Manny's basketball league game at the Pac-Mansion... Amazing! ...When we decided to visit Gensan, we didn't even know it was Pacquiao's hometown, nevertheless that he would be there at the time... so this was a huge surprise and stroke of luck!
