The Caligula Effect Overdose Review
The Caligula Effect Overdose is an enhanced port of the original game released on the Playstation Vita. Often called a persona clone, the game does have social elements but not on the levels Persona does. The Caligula Effect Overdose sees you in the world of Mobius, a world created to escape the hardships of the real world and live in a utopia free from pain. You play as the Go Home Club a group of high school students want to escape the world of Mobius and return to the real world. The caligula has a unique spin on turn based combats as you’ll make predictions into how you think combat may play out but it doesn’t always go as planned. While not a perfect game this is a prime example of with many flaws but still does a lot of things right, with the second game coming out in October I’m really hoping it takes what the first one did builds upon it makes a much more rounded experience.

Sony just surprised us all and announced the Playstation Classic, to compete with Nintendo’s NES Classic and SNES Classic. As of this recording 5 Games have been announced Final Fantasy VII, Wild Arms, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Jumping Flash. 20 games though doesn’t seem like a lot especially considering that the Playstation has such a vast library of amazing titles. Nier Producer Yosuke Saito announced that a Nier Automata Sequel is in development. This was some news I wasn’t quite expecting to happen but happy nonetheless that it did. Nier is one of those quirky charming games that deserves all praise and attention that it gets.
