Creating Christ - How Roman Emperors Invented Christianity by James S. Valliant C. W. Fahy
"In the New Testament we read exhortations to obey the Roman government as the appointed agents of God, to pay one’s taxes, and even to honor the emperor himself. We also see the earliest Christian leaders laying the foundations for the authority structure of the Church, with an endorsement of Church hierarchy coming even from Jesus long before such developments seem credible. We are presented with benevolent Roman centurions, even as Paul’s mission uniformly receives official protection from Roman governors, clerks and officials—including sympathy from the Praetorian Guard of Caesar himself."

"You think that shepherds and cowherds seek the good of their sheep band cattle, and fatten them and take care of them, looking to something other than their master’s good and their own. Moreover, you believe that rulers in cities—true rulers, that is—think about their subjects differently than one does about sheep, and that night and day they think of something besides their own advantage. You are so far from understanding about cjustice and what’s just, about injustice and what’s unjust, that you don’t realize that justice is really the good of another, the advantage of the stronger and the ruler, and harmful to the one who obeys and serves. Injustice is the opposite, it rules the truly simple and just, and those it rules do what is to the advantage of the other and stronger, and they make the one they serve happy, but themselves not at all. You must look at it d as follows, my most simple Socrates: A just man always gets less than an unjust one." -Plato, The Republik Book I

[Plato]"Those who tell the stories rule society" - The old testament was originally written in greek, by priests domiciled in egypt. Nearly all the books of the New Testament were written to or from Greek-speaking cities and/or addressed to Greek-speakers as well. (Greek was spoken in large parts of [east] Rome)

The ruling class redefined or created Mythologies and Religions as systems of control to make the behavior and thus actions of the masses predictable and manageable. Nr.1 Rule of Social Control: Make the enemy (people) stick to a certain set of rules/ moral code, while operating outside the rules/morals. They just package the rules and morals in tales to sell it to the propaganda hungry masses.

Furthermore, the ruling class makes use of Religious fundamentalist psychopaths for their interests. Much like the American Empire made use of radical Islamists, the Mujahideen, trained and funded them to supposedly fight Communism during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, the Roman Empire made use of the precursor of modern Judaism and a certain sect/cult (presumably Gnostic's) and their fairy tales to create Christianity and thus attain certain goals. Institutionalized Religion is nothing but psycho-spiritual warfare and a tool for social control.

"They [Roman Empire] created the religion to serve as a theological barrier to prevent messianic Judaism from again erupting against the empire."
-Caesars Messiah The Roman Conspiracy to Invent Jesus by Atwill, Joseph

“Gods, of course, are frequently described as being both omniscient and omnipotent. And it is not difficult to see why. If believers can be brought truly to believe that their God can see into their minds and hearts and to believe that He will punish them severely if He glimpses the slightest disloyalty, they may be persuaded to change their thinking and their feeling and become, internally and externally, more compliant and more obedient. For what must be overcome, the chief obstacle in the way of command hierarchies reaching their ideal typical form, is the human power to lie, pretend and assimilate. Citizens who have the ability to pretend loyalty and love while plotting disobedience and treason are serious threats to the security of any power that be. Only if people can be persuaded that their efforts to lie and pretend are rendered fruitless by an all-seeing eye, can. . .obedience become assured.”
-Don Mixon, Obedience and Civilization

"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful."

"Oh, foolish man, what can you not be made to believe?"
-Adam Weishaupt
