On top of the free box of NES games, I was also given two boxes of various disk games, mostly PS2, but also some Xbox, and Xbox 360 games in there as well. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG3UM8kFs6Y
I've had this game for almost a decade, but have only just today pulled it out to play it for the first time, and I'm impressed. Heatseeker is a fun air-combat game. While the PS2 has no shortage of Ace Combat games, Heatseeker is still an engaging and fun from what I have played of it. I haven't played far enough into it to know if later levels get really challenging, but from the first two missions I have played, I had a really good time.
If you are a fan of Air Combat/Ace Combat, and want another solid mission-based jet fighting game, look into Heatseeker. It's renderware engine graphics may not be the best on the system, but the solid controls, and intense action keep this game engaging, and fun. Simple, and fun game, solid controls, and decent (for PS2) graphics, and the game supports 16:9 display. If I didn't have to get ready for work soon, I'd probably keep playing further into the game. A fun, hidden game.
Note: This game was also on the Nintendo Wii.

Let me start out by saying that I indeed suck at this game, but I still have a blast every time I play.
Furthermore, I'm using Xfire's screen recorder which makes the game run a little choppier, so that makes and already bad player even worse. If anyone knows a better free screen recorder, then I'd love to hear suggestions.
In all honesty, I've really only been playing this game online on a regular basis for about a month. I didn't get the game until 2005, and was a little intimidated to go online with it, because I knew that I'd be coming up against players who had been playing for over a decade. I'd tried the online a few times prior, but got destroyed. Now I still get destroyed, but I'm getting better.
However, this vid isn't to show off my skills (or lack there of), but to show off the gameplay in Quake II.
I just captured this the other day. It's amazing, the game's getting to be nearly 12 years old, and there are still a bunch of fans fragging away on it.
Note: The sound becomes un-synced as the vid goes on. Sorry, there's nothing I can do about that one.
Also, I'm playing on tastyspleen.net DM server here.
Another Note: I know that I suck at the game, so those coming into the vid talking shit will be blocked, and I may keep your comments just so I can insult you, and you can't replay, so play nice children.

This is just some gameplay of Tomb Raider II on the PS1 as played on the PS2 with texture smoothing on. This isn't the best run I ever did, it's not perfect, but I did manage to beat the entire first level of the game without dying on my first try on a cold run.
This is my favorite one in the series, but mainly because it was the first one I played. I'd say overall, the original is the best, but TRII is my favorite.
Some people say that this is where the series lost it's track, because you don't raid tombs the entire game, but I say Lara is the tomb raider, so you it really doesn't matter where she goes just so long as the level design is of the same quality. TRII retains the incredibly imaginative level design of the original, and the tense atmosphere of the original. In the game, you still get that same feeling that you indeed are alone, at the bottom of the world, and the sense of danger that rivals survival horror games. If you've never played the original series, I suggest you do, the controls will frustrate those accustomed to modern games, but it's a game that takes time to master. I've been playing the series since Christmas 1997, and I still occasionally have trouble with the controls.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Tomb Raider deserves more credit for it's role in shaping 3D games, and modern gaming in general. Look at the gameplay mechanics here. They seem relatively simple, and common by today's standards, but where do you think games like Uncharted, Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia (the 3D ones) got their gameplay mechanics? Sure, people say Tomb Raider just took the original Prince of Persia's gameplay and translated it into 3D, but successfully taking 2D design, and making it work in 3D is also something that deserves credit. As I've said before, Prince of Persia in 2D begat Tomb Raider in 3D, but Tomb Raider in 3D begat Prince of Persia in 3D, as well as so many other games that were inspired by Tomb Raider.
Not to take anything away from Mario 64, because it deserves a lot of credit for it's effect on modern 3D gaming (though I'd say Wolfenstein 3D and Doom deserve the most credit for pushing gaming into 3D than any other games), but Tomb Raider which hit in the west a few months after Mario 64 (and had been in development for three years prior), also deserves a big chunk of credit. Screw all the "it cemented the role of women in gaming" and all that women's lib bullpoop, Tomb Raider deserves credit for cementing gameplay mechanics that helped shape the way we still play games, and like Mario 64 is a testament to great early 3D design in gaming. It's controls may not have aged well (the modern controls we have today are from years of tweaking, and experimenting to get just right), but it's level design, play m

My Quake legs have gotten a little soft, so this isn't the best gameplay you'll see out there. I was doing really good with the Rail Gun, but then I started to suck with it, and lost confidence half way through the match. I eventually went into a bit of a slump where I couldn't get a kill to save my life, but pulled it off in the end.
If you're interested in ioquake3 go here: https://ioquake3.org/
You'll need a retail copy of Quake III to play it. Either off the original disk, Steam, or Gog.
You will also need to download the update here once you get it installed: https://ioquake3.org/extras/patch-data/

This is essentially the same vid i just uploaded, but without the music.
This is just in case there's a copyright claim on my other vid for using the music, and it's also for those who like to see gameplay with it's original sound.
This is a response to my original 100 PS2 games vid. In case you haven't noticed, that vid looks quite dated, but that's because I lost the original footage of it when a hard drive took a crap on me a few months back, so I'll never be able to post a higher quality version of that vid.
These are from the other half of my personal PS2 collection. Some of them are sequels to games I had in my first vid, while others are games I've gotten since then, or just didn't show in the original.
**Note: Some of these are flawed games that I still liked well enough, but won't be for everyone. I used most of my best ones in the first vid.
Now if you don't see a game you wanted to on there, chances are, I don't have it, so let me say sorry in advance to Okami fans, because I've still yet to get that game, so it won't be featured in this vid. For those sports fans out there, I show you both of the sports games I own. That's right, the only two sports games I have in my entire PS2 collection are Madden 2001 (the grandaddy of all PS2 football games), and NFL 2K3.
One final notice, please don't make fun of my Guitar Hero "skills." I'm a noob and I know it, so no need to remind me. That's actually probably the best I've ever played that game which is sad.
Here's is a list of the games (though, as you can see, I list them in the vid itself):
Activision Anthology (Pitfall shown)
Aqua Aqua
Arc the Lad: End of Darkness
Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits

This is just a vid of the gameplay of the 32X version of Virtua Racing. After many years of only having six 32X games, I have finally added another to my collection.
I finally found a store near me called Play N Trade that sells retro games, I've been meaning to look for one for a long time in my areas, because Game Crazy, Game Tag, and Gamestop all suck ass now, and will soon even be dropping their PS2 games. That means that the only alternative for gamers like me is the internet sites like Amazon, Ebay, and Half, or the mom and pop stores, Goodwill (the ones around me occasionally have something game worthy, but mostly suck), and the whole flea market scene that I really haven't checked out yet in my area.
So I went there and bought a number of old games for the various systems I own, and they had a decent selection. Not spectacular, but decent enough.
