We replaced the hybrid battery on our Prius this week-seriously. And this same week, a NASA press release announces the "retirement" of the Kepler Space Telescope more than 3 years after its fuel cell battery was slated to be depleted. Now that is some awesome technology. I will miss the artistic renderings for which Kepler was credited all these years. It sure beats my cell phone that seems to always have a dead battery and never gets a signal on the other side of the hill.
