According to the teachings of Nichiren, chanting the title of a Sutra is the same as chanting the entire Sutra. So, we've translated the Prajna Paramita Hridaya Sutra or Heart of Ultimate Wisdom Sutra into Japanese to chant.
The only reason I've used Japanese here, is to make the chanting more rhythmical, and easier to chant.

In books on "spirituality", you often see the advice that one must destroy the ego. But they don't tell you how to destroy the ego. An important question often neglected by seekers is: Is this the path to enlightenment?
Another important question often unasked by seekers or the writers of these fluffy books is: Can the ego be destroyed?
I attempt to answer these question in this video, and hopefully, allay some of the fears that this nasty little phrase has caused. Enjoy, and remember, new videos every Tuesday and Friday at 7pm CST.

Often, people read about older practices from Chinese Martial Arts or Cultivation stories, and ask, is it necessary to do that?
In this episode, I attempt to answer that question from a standpoint of why it was done and why one would want or not want to practice this in these current times.

People often talk about having just had a spiritual awakening, or having had a lot of spiritual awakenings in the past. However, spiritual awakening used in that sense means literally anything the person wants it to mean. What isn't clear is how the spirit has awakened.
In this video, I discuss what a spiritual awakening is from a Ch'an/Zen perspective, and why it's useful to use more tightly defined terminology when having a discussion like this.

Om Vasudhare Svaha is sometimes called the Buddhist Money Mantra. Vasudhare means "Stream of Gems", and she is considered an Earth goddess.
When taking up this practice, past masters have advised that one do 800 repetitions on the first day, and then three sets of 108 from each day afterward.
As always, number of repetitions is the least important aspect of any spiritual practice, including mantra recitation. Yes, more will have more of an effect. However, reciting with a clear mind, relaxed, and feeling the energy of the mantra is far more important.
As such, we don't count the number of repetitions on these recordings, and just go until it seems right.
If you work on your mind and energy in conjunction with taking up a chanting routine, you may find that as your mind and energy grow more powerful, you need to chant less and less to get the same result. If this is the case, congratulations! Just enjoy the extra time that you've saved, and have some fun. Becoming too serious can be a very big distraction on the spiritual path.

In this video, we consecrate two stones, and place them in the energy of muladhara. For one stone, it was simply washed and consecrated.
For the other, it was prepared in a special way, to make it more receptive to the energies, and more capable of sustaining the life force it is imbued with.
The reason for this experiment is that improperly consecrated items can begin to draw energy from the surrounding area, instead of the Divine. They could also simply stop being energetic, as happened with the unprepared stone.
There is a special experiment toward the end of the video, where we consecrated a single stone with all seven major chakras active. A consecration like this is called a dhyanalinga, and is very difficult to do without cracking open the stone.
By decreasing the total energetic level of each chakra, and using some Divine energy to give the stone internal force, and strengthen the material of the stone a bit, we were able to fully awaken this and a second stone, which has found its new home.
