This is THE BUCKET LIST ROAD and incidentally the one I learned to drive on. The problem is and has always been tourist traffic clogging up the road, so in hindsight, a Sunday probably is the worst time to visit this road. The long and short of it is, my little 125cc WASN'T actually the slowest vehicle on the road that day. That is the epitome of frustration.
The Black Spur from Healesville to Narbethong is one of the greatest driving roads the state of Victoria has to offer, just make sure you pick your times carefully, because if it's not slow moving tourist traffic on the weekends, it's logging trucks hauling a$$ down the mountain during the week, so DON'T TEAR DOWN THE MIDDLE LINE because those Yarra Valley truckers are some of the most experienced in the state and have no issue pushing the limits of legality in how fast they can get those rigs down the hill.

The longest leg of the ride is here, following gravel trails along where the State Forest starts and the Pine Plantation merges. Can you spot the freshly logged areas?
There are trails for DAYS in this area but as you might've guessed by this being PART 5, it does take quite a while to get to. This is why the big 4L tank is such an excellent addition to any build.
During this ride you may notice the steady decline of the clutch performance, as it continues to engage the engine JUST enough with the lever pulled in to raise the engine RPM autonomously. This is most noticeable rolling downhill, where the speed of the bike exceeds the speed of the 56 tooth sprocket gear ratio. This is a problem because it forces the engine to rotate faster than what it is supposed to and if the engine is rotating at such high speeds without the throttle open, it is not getting the lubrication it needs from the fuel mix to stay cool and healthy which is why you see me killing the engine down hill.
Part 5 shows hitting the end of the trails and joining the road once again, and having to perform a roadside clutch repair in order to get home again. #2Stroke #ASMR

After riding slow and steady along the forest road up the mountain, I return to the main road and enjoy some mild twisty roads on the return leg home.

After riding to the coastal road I thought it was a good idea to get off the bike and stretch my legs, so I walked down to the beach. A windy autumn day is probably not the best advertisement for Australia's glorious beaches, though.

Join me for a ride down a local trail and a chat about my experience owning an entry-level electric scooter, the AKEZ 500w "Offroad".
It's not particularly fast, but it is fun and surprisingly smooth.
If you missed the #Shorts video, it was on this ride I figured out how to make this electric scooter do skids, by disconnecting the front brake from the ECU so it doesn't cut the power to the motor when you hold the brake.

Here's a collection of all the thumbnails I've made for my channel since 2020 when I started making bike content. I'm sure there are one or two missing
Did you watch it through? Are there any videos you'd like to see? Tell me in the comments and I'll link the video below.
