In today’s video, we talk about Contempt: the many ways: This is How a Hearts Breaks and how to keep your heart open amidst toxic relationship hell. I will place the link to my heart-meditation video for your tender hearts. The topic of Contempt has been coming up a lot lately in my consult group, where I am facilitating supervision for trauma DeActivators, energy healing facilitators, and life/relationship coaches/mentors, as well as in my personal sphere—friendships and relationships. It’s horrifying to admit that I’m witnessing an increase in tremendous disrespect and taking others for granted in marriages-committed partnerships and friendships, including your neighbours, business partnerships-co-creators of content. WTAF people?? Are some of you de-evolving into an entitled bunch of NSPs at the expense of us tender-hearted folks trying to love you up—warts and all?? Communication is key, but when you’re with someone clueless about their own reactivity and unprocessed PTSD from childhood or other traumas and are unable to step back to witness their abusive behaviour and projection upon you—trouble is afoot. A once-promising intimate relationship can go toxic quickly, leaving you devastated and bewildered. How you and your partner communicate clearly indicates whether issues are being addressed or perhaps the issues are unknown, let alone unprocessed. When these issues are not addressed and are buried, Contempt and disrespect in their communication is a form of abuse that allows these hidden issues to create a toxic environment at your expense, a form of Weaponised Woundology. In other words, although you are talking to each other, you are not actually discussing an important problem or issue. Yet, everything is ENERGY, people! Those slings and arrows and stink-eyes, the coldness and putdowns are typical ways that toxic shit gets vented and dumped onto the other person, where one person is using criticism and disrespect as a form of abuse which lowers the other person’s self-esteem and immunity. They are making their partner feel worthless by disrespecting them. They’ll use nasty comments to degrade and shatter their confidence. Now that might sound pretty melodramatic and over-the-top to those who have not experienced Contempt in relationships. Let me tell you from personal experience it is far from dramatic. Each word said in anger or disgust by someone who is meant to love you is like a knife plunged into your heart. The above are examples of how a HEART BREAKS at the mercy of a so-called beloved who can’t help themselves through their willful cruelty or ignorance but be contemptuous toward you. It’s NOT ok. Staying in these relationships will not be sustainable as these abusive and coercive behaviours can be so subtle and utterly manipulative to break your spirit and resiliency down to nothing slowly. I urge you to Get help or get out! Stay super kind to yourselves and grounded in uplevelling your self-love and self-care. Take some time and sacred space for yourself, if that’s possible. Grounding is uber important—utilising more mother earth and father sky energies, water and fire for nurturance and warmth—less technology. In some form and fashion, we’re all recovering from PTSD from the horrors, disappointments, and betrayals of dramas on the various world stages in the Matrix. These are what I call SHOCK TREATMENTS that call each of us out—to check in and get real and out of our comfort zones—which are often hell realms of habit and familiar dramas where we give bad fucked up shitty behaviour and treatment from beloveds a pass.
