Fully Functional Calibre Network Server on Debian / OpenMediaVault
In my ongoing war with DRM I have been priming up my library of classic books and DRM-free books, but I needed a better way to pass the books to my devices, to read them, and to organize them. I decided since i already have a computer that runs a file server and media server, I can also now add a book server. I was not able to find concise instructions for how to build the server on Debian that would match my OpenMediaVault build, so here is my solution.

Linux Mint 21.1 beta has just been released to look for bugs and issues. This release has a lot of cosmetic updates and some tools to make using the system smoother. It is an LTS, so it will be good to install for a number of years.

Today we will look at another Debian KDE distro. NeptuneOS includes extra hardware support and Debian backports out of the box. It has a newer Kernel as well. Neptune is an excellent distro for someone who wants Debian that is supported on more hardware.
