Here’s why being an Nvidia partner just kind of sucks.
So recently, EVGA, a well-known graphics card manufacturer, announced that they will no longer be working with Nvidia & making video cards.
It has been known for years that Nvidia doesn’t treat their partners well, like not providing pricing information until the cards are already publicly announced.
Giving their partners very slim margins, selling their own graphics cards at ridiculously aggressive prices & it seems EVGA just doesn’t wanna deal with that anymore.
Just like I don’t wanna deal with the reality that most of you are not following this channel full of tech news & delicious high-protein cookies.
Nvidia does make their own graphics cards the founder's edition cards, however they themselves just don’t have the capacity to produce enough of them & that’s why they need partners like EVGA.

Nvidia has officially canceled the RTX 4080 12GB.
And well 2 days ago I made a video about why this model was so problematic, basically because it wasn’t really a 4080 it had a different chip than the 16GB model.
And literally, an hour after I posted the video news came out about Nvidia canceling the card, so that video aged like fine spoiled milk.
But with this Nvidia has created a nightmare for their board partners, because all the packaging is gonna have to be destroyed, the cards might need new model numbers & BIOS updates.
Because these cards will still exist, they’ll just be renamed.
Just like you’ll be renamed if you don’t follow this channel, seriously I’ve got the paperwork right here.
Nvidia is gonna be paying for the new packaging, but nothing was said about covering labor, so it’s an overall messy situation.

Chinese CPU developer Loongson is gonna be making chips that are going to be able to challenge the duopoly of Intel & AMD.
They just launched a 16-core server CPU & are planning on a 32-core version in the upcoming months.
And they are claiming that their next generation of CPUs launching in 2-3 years will be able to compete with AMD’s ZEN3 architecture, which btw launched in 2020.
They are running their own instruction set so software like Windows & most programs that are made for x86 won’t be compatible.
However they have their own version of Linux running on it, which is steadily gaining popularity, because of Microsoft being Microsoft.
This is all really very impressive stuff from a company that got founded just over a decade ago.

The best gaming monitor EVER.
The Samsung Odyssey G8 is a 4k, Quantum HDR 2000 certified monitor with a refresh rate of 240Hz and a 1ms response time.
The only thing that I don’t like is the fact that it will come only in a 32inch size.
I’m currently running a 24, 25 & 27inch monitor & personally, I wouldn’t wanna go over 27inches for a desktop monitor.
Unless I had like an ultrawide ofc.
I know a lot of people will argue, oh there’s like no game you can run at 4k and like 240FPS.
Well actually most esport games like csgo, league of legend, rocket league.
Run at high framerates at 4k just fine as long as you have a decently high-end PC.
The monitor is gonna come in at about 1500$ tho, but it’s exciting to see the industry moving toward higher refresh rates at 4k.

Microsoft has confirmed their new Windows 11 update causes desktop freezes to occur.
Because I mean I haven’t talked about their update issues in about a week so, you know.
Now this issue occurs only when accessing a remote desktop & normal home users shouldn’t be affected because that uses a different connection process.
However, admins that maintain larger fleets of computers have been complaining about this issue since September.
I mean you can imagine how annoying & time-consuming it would be if you actually had to walk over to each computer in a company, instead of just remoting into it.
Btw you need to follow this channel or you’ll have 10 years of bad luck with your Windows updates.

A new Windows 11 security update is locking users out of their PCs.
Basically during the reboot after the update Windows is asking some of the users for their BitLocker key.
Which is a bit of a hassle to find even for a more experienced user not to mention extremely hard if you’re just someone who uses a PC more casually or just for specific work.
But don’t worry I can tell you from personal experience that Microsoft’s support is… extremely useless & you shouldn’t even bother.

Anyways look guys it’s just a new security feature I mean how is a hacker gonna gain access to your PC if even you can’t use it yourself.

Anyways modern archival discs offer up to three optical layers per side of disc whereas Folio can achieve 16 & plans for even more.

So now you can make all your Superman action figures actually fly… I’m not the only one that has those right?
This device could be very useful in the biomedical field where cross-contamination can be a big issue.
As well as for something like assembling watches or camera modules for smartphones, which are very weak & tiny little objects that break easily…unlike my action figures.
This could also be very useful in the field of 3D printing, but a lot more development of the hardware & software is needed before that becomes a reality.

If you have an AMD GPU you need to be very careful.
AMD has finally admitted to a rare Radeon driver bug that will corrupt Windows installations.
This issue has been reported continually for over a month, yet AMD never acknowledged the problem.
The root seems to be the "Factory Reset" option within the Adrenalin software which completely flushes the driver settings.
Users are advised to avoid using this option during installation and to make sure their OS isn’t updating itself simultaneously.
Which is actually kind of hard to do with Windows these days, because it just seems to do whatever it wants.
Just like you wanna follow this channel and if you don’t you should do it anyways.
If the bug has already occurred, reinstalling the operating system might be necessary.
This situation is very alarming and shows the lack of responsibility on AMD's part, result of which is that a few users have lost their data.
