Bastok Mines (time 1:32): Heorot teleports to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 1:55): Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at G-5. Just up the hill, he examines the Undulating Confluence to enter Escha - Ru'Aun. Escha - Ru'Aun (time 2:32): Heorot arrives at H-11. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he heads north and hunts some Eschan Il'aern. Heorot accrues 2 Job Points for an overall total of 332 Job Points earned as Red Mage. He has a current total of 4 Job Points. When he has finished for now, he uses the Undulating Confluence at H-11 to return to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 48:11): Heorot arrives at G-5. Just down the hill to the west, he uses Home Point #1 to teleport to Port Jeuno. Port Jeuno (time 48:48): Heorot trades his Crests to Shami at H-8 for storage. Then, he teleports to Bastok Markets. Bastok Markets (time 50:40): Heorot trades his Copper A.M.A.N. Voucher to Isakoth at E-11. In Mjoll's Goods, he sells his loot to Olwyn at E-11. Then, he teleports to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 52:27): At the auction house, Heorot puts a Wind Cluster, a chunk of Eschite Ore, two Riftborn Boulders, and three chunks of Beitetsu up for sale. She wrapped up the Glen storyline. At Cloud Lake atop Landon Mountain, she worked with Sage Eidos to defeat the Water Dragon Gilgish. Afterwards, she brought the Gloris Drop to Glen Castle, and King Bagdo was cured of his curse. Fiona earned the Black Key Emblem and the Intercontinental Rail Pass. She took the train to Rakkaran and met Sage Horro en route. Horro gave her the Fun-Size Forge. In Rakkaran, Fiona picked up some Birdsong Nectar. This allowed her to complete Quest 002 and unlock the Adventurer's Tavern for monster subjugation. Now, I will resume Pippin the Pukuripo's adventure. He last left off when he reached the Town of Orfea at the end of video #094. Orfea (time 0:24): Pippin resumes in the church in the Town of Orfea. He is currently a Level 12 Minstrel. To start the Orfea storyline in earnest, Pippin enters the Circus Tent through the main door at D-4. This triggers a cutscene with Ringmaster Nabret. His performance causes quite a stir, especially with Inspector Pakre. The next destination is the Circus Tent's back room. Pippin gains control outside the Circus Tent. At D-5, he takes the back door to the Circus Tent. As he approaches the door to the dressing room at E-6, a scene with Inspector Pakre, Pudin, and Nabret takes place. The next objective is to interrogate the performers in the dressing room. The player earns the accolade "Lucky Day" when they open the Battle Records menu and there are three of the same digits. In this case, it is because the game time is 2:22. There is also a trophy related to this, but Heorot earned it much earlier. In the Circus Tent's dressing room, Pippin talks to Hakar for a cutscene. His next destination is Silver Hill in the Rinkle Region south of the West Orfea Region. Before heading out of town, Pippin explores Orfea for treasures. In the back room of the Circus Tent, there is a black chest at G-5, but the Thief's Key is needed to open it. At F-7/G-7, a barrel contains a Medicinal Herb (やくそう). In the inn at G-6, a wardrobe in the western room contains 260 gold. In the eastern room, a bookcase contains the recipe for the The Bones Coin (ザ・ボーンズコイン). Behind this building, a red chest at E-4 contains 300 gold. Pippin takes the entrance at E-4 to the Alley, where the pub is located. In the pub at C-3/C-4, he goes downstairs to the Monster Bar. At B-4 in the Monster Bar, a barrel contains a Medicinal Herb (やくそう). In the Alley, a barrel at C-4 contains a Tombola Ticket. At B-5/C-5, a pot contains a phial of Magic Water (まほうのせいすい). There is also a black chest. At C-7, barrels contain a Strong Medicine (上やくそう) and an Antidotal Herb (どくけしそう). Pippin takes the doorway at C-6/C-7 back to the main part of town. This is video #029 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy IV for the PC. Then, they went to the Crystal Palace on the Moon and teamed up with Fusoya. Events happened when they returned to the Blue Planet, and they boarded the Giant of Babil. They explored the Giant as far as the save point in the Inner Passage. Now, the party will wrap up the Giant of Babil's Bestiary entries and then take on the area's bosses. Giant of Babil: The party resumes at the save point in the Inner Passage of the Giant of Babil. The only enemy type they are missing is the Armor Construct, so they fight around in the Inner Passage until they encounter it. During this grind, Edge reaches Level 62. Rosa reaches Level 65. Cecil reaches Level 66. Fusoya reaches Level 53. Rydia reaches Level 65. After encountering the Armor Construct (time 14:49), the party rests and saves at the save point. Then, they head north to the Inner Stair (time 17:49). A scene takes place as the party heads north to the middle platform. It is time for a miniature boss rush! After the scene, the party must battle the Elemental Archfiends again. They will fight them in sequence, since fighting them all at once might actually pose a challenge. First up is Scarmiglione in his undead form. As ever, he remains weak to fire-elemental attacks. Rydia can light him up with Ifrit while Cecil and Edge carve him up with physical attacks. Still, beware of casting Black Magic on him. The second round is against Cagnazzo. As before, cast Thunder on him when water surges to his feet to avoid Deluge. Third, Barbariccia confronts the party. Kain is not around to break her out of her whirlwind state. However, she is weak to Holy-elemental attacks. Be very careful of Maelstrom. Finally, the party must battle Rubicante again. Be sure to use non-elemental attacks when his cloak is closed, and look out for his Firaga counterattacks. When Rubicante opens his cloak, Edge can use Steal to interrupt his Inferno ... if Rubicante is not dead by then. After the battle, Edge reaches Level 63. Fusoya reaches Level 54. The player earns the self-explanatory Steam achievement "Defeated Elemental Archfiends". Also, the player earns the Steam achievement "Bursting Treasure Chest" for amassing 200,000+ gil. A brief scene takes place after the battle. Goodbye and good riddance, archfiends. The party returns to the Inner Passage to rest and save again. Too bad Rubicante does not heal them up again AFTER the battle. Note: after the party defeats the upcoming boss, they will not be able to return to the Giant of Babil. As he climbed the Crystal Tower in the Dead Crystal Wilderness, he viewed a collection of increasingly tragic reminiscences from Leone's life, leading to a fall from grace. Atop the tower, Davilas and Yuraiza finally defeated Jia Lumina. However, Leone took her telekinetic crystal and became Jia Leone. Ashley helped Davilas and his party fight and defeat his corrupted brother. Sadly, Leo proved beyond saving. Afterwards, the deified champions fought to prevent Jia Kuto's main force from invading Astoltia. But no sooner had Davilas and Yuraiza reported to Archangel Mitlar than the Moon with the Evil Eye appeared in the sky, and Jia Red Genos, the sovereign of Jia Kuto, declared their malefic intentions. The Version 6.4 storyline, "The Tale of Eternal Rectalis", is now available. However, there are several quests that are prerequisites to the Version 6.4 story events, so Davilas will now start on them. It appears that many focus on the Royal City of Kimbel and the Eteene Kingdom. Davilas resumes in his house in the Azlan Housing Area on Eltona, the Elf continent. He is currently a Level 125 Minstrel. Davilas Zooms to New Eteene Village. New Eteene Village (time 2:00): Davilas visits the pub and hires a party of support characters. Fortunately, the same teammates are still available, especially the Priest. Davilas talks to Trist at G-3 and has a couple of new skill orbs identified. One appears to increase the healing from healing spells, so that looks like a good one. Due to events at the conclusion of the Version 4 story, Kimbel and other locations on Eteene Island gained the prefix "Old" on the Eteenel Cube. If you do this quest during Version 4, the prefix "Old" will not be there. Davilas uses the Eteenel Cube to Zoom to the Old Royal City of Kimbel - Central Square destination. Old Royal City of Kimbel (time 6:16): In the General Store at F-4, Davilas talks to Dabok kneeling by some crates. Dabok issues Quest 476: "The Alchemist who Supports Life". He gives Davilas the Alchemy Water (アルケミ水) key item. Davilas must visit three alchemists in the vicinity of Zef's Shop in the southwest of town: Merkle, Gundak, and someone in Zef's Shop. In the house at F-7 just southwest of Zef's Shop, Davilas talks to Gundak at F-7. In the house at G-5 just northeast of Zef's Shop, Davilas talks to Merkle for dialogue with her and her grandson Morub. He shows her the Alchemy Water. Davilas enters Zef's Shop at G-6. A stunned voice speaks as he enters the building. In the kitchen in the southwest, Davilas examines the door at F-6 near the stove. This triggers a conversation with the enigmatic Luon. During the dialogue, Davilas says, "Yes". Next, he must talk to Terence in the kitchen for a special phial. At F-6 in the kitchen, Davilas talks to Terence at the stove. He looks like one Terry that you don't want to diss! Terence gives him the Material Collection Phial (素材収集ビン). Now, Davilas must defeat three Handsome Crabs in the Old Eteene Kingdom to collect some crab drool. Ew. Davilas exits south at D-7/E-7 to the Old Eteene Kingdom. Old Eteene Kingdom (time 20:53): Along the river west of Kimbel, Davilas hunts Handsome Crabs (ガニラス) around C-3. After defeating three Handsome Crabs, Davilas gathers enough Crab Drool in the Material Collection Phial. Now, he must return to Luon in Kimbel. Davilas uses the Eteenel Cube to Zoom to the Old Royal City of Kimbel - South Gate destination. Old Royal City of Kimbel (time 23:09): Davilas enters Zef's Shop at G-6. In the kitchen, he examines the door at F-6 for a conversation with Luon. Next, he must visit Morub in Merkle's house. In Merkle's house at G-5, Davilas talks to Morub. He does some alchemy with the Crab Drool, but the results seem unpleasant. Davilas obtains the Fishy Mush (魚臭いドロドロ) key item. The next objective is to talk to Luon in Zef's Shop. Davilas enters Zef's Shop at G-6. In the kitchen, he examines the door at F-6 for a conversation with Luon. Next, he must talk to Gundak. In Gundak's house at F-7, Davilas talks to Gundak and hands over the Fishy Mush. Gundak gives him the Great Compost (すばらしい堆肥) key item. Wonderful. The next objective is to talk to Luon in Zef's Shop.
