Undoubtedly the best mission in the entire game. If only the rest of this game felt like this, then I probably would have a lot more respect for it as a whole.

And that does it, we're done with this game. Wow, for some reason I remembered it being a lot better. Still, it was fun, and I hope you all enjoyed the ride.

While I like the fact that this mission lets be do what I excel at, defense, it just doesn't feel like I'm fighting a thinking enemy. At least in the previous game, the enemy would try changing up their tactics in different playthroughs, but here, I haven't gotten that sense..it's the same thing every time. It feels more like one of those tower defense games instead of a real time strategy, and I've never been a big fan of those.
Protoss Text
"The protoss crystal continues to grow. I no longer think it is drawing power from the ship. It's getting pure energy from that sphere above it, which presents a new worry. What's it doing with all of that power? Is it going to release it explosively? I have to keep Swann away from that sample; he will definitely shoot it out the airlock. With me strapped to it.
I tried scraping smaller samples, but all my tools broke. Luckily, I found some cast-off chips floating in the tank. Wonder how they came off? In any case, the chips revealed more of the matrix. It's keeping the energy in a vortex. How does it move energy so fast? It may be the fabled protoss warp technology. For all its complexity, the matrix is as solid as the strongest structure. Hm, I wonder if I could apply these dynamics to our own structures? Make a note.
I'm learning so much from this crystal, but I can't help feeling as if it's learning from me, if that makes sense. Late. Tired. Sleep now."
Spider Mine Text
"52-QDMM Spider Mine
Spider mines belong to a very small category of technology that came from Old Earth and survived the crash of the supercarriers. Terran marines are famously mistrustful of the spider mines' IFF sensors.
In 2499, Tarsonis-based Jaunt Pictures released Spider Mines IV: Death from Below, continuing a franchise about spider mines that had achieved sentience and turned on their human creators. It was the last holo of the series."

And here we are, the final mission of Battle for Naboo. Again, not a very satisfying game, but still, it's a nice way to kill some time. Hope you enjoyed the LP. Next up, the critically panned Star Wars Obi-Wan for the X-Box. The Phantom Menace apparently wasn't all that inspiring..what a shocker.

Let's have a moment of silence for General Skorge..oh wait, he could have made absolutely no appearance in this story at all and we wouldn't have lost anything.

Well, they've done a unique take on the usual "defend this point" objective, got to give them credit for that. And the story is certainly leagues better than what we dealt with in the main campaign and epilogue.
