Me hiking, starting at Rhöndorf, then climbing up to the Löwenburg and down to Bad Honnef. There were two guys riding down with a mountain bike while I was going up, looks fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGRg1crIosA

The button on my first prototype for the Crazy Cartridge was too fragile. So I ordered five different types for testing. For one button the actuator was too short (and I think for the red one which I soldered, too), but I drilled some holes in a PCB, sanded the solder resist and soldered the other buttons. Which one is the best button?

Me playing with NeoCube, a birthday present from my brother Christian, thanks! Other vendors sell it as ZenMagnets, BuckyBalls or NanoDots. I know I'm a beginner, much better videos on Youtube. It is fun and it is not as easy as it looks like.

There was a strong wind, weather forecast says 25 km/h, but felt more. And I lost the RC signal once over the Rhine,
and I could barely see it at this distance (250 m) but the automatic return-to home-function (RTH) saved my copter. Glad I adjusted the RTH height to 50 m before starting, otherwise it would have crashed into the trees.
Maybe there was a RC dead spot or too many trees between, because over the grass it worked up to 300 m distance without problems. But it is not more than a tiny dot at this distance,
I think I'll limit the max distance to 200 m, because law says you have to see it all the time. I wonder why the Phantom 3 Professional has 5 km max distance, you can't legally use it in most countries. My Phantom 3 Standard, CE version,
allows 500 m, and you have to be an eagle to see it at this distance.

I bought a Sony FDR-X1000V (you can get it used from Amazon for less than EUR 250) and tried to mount it on my Phantom 3 Standard. The image quality if much better, more details and better colors, but the steadyshot function, usually good enough for mountain bikes or helmet camera mountings, doesn't work with the strong vibrations of the copter. Using the warp filter of Adobe Premiere helps a bit, but it isn't as good as the gimbal camera. Needs a better mount.
