The CBC's Fifth Estate did a program titled, "Boiling Point: Climate Chaos." Michelle Stirling, Communications Manager for Friends of Science Society does a deconstruction of the program which she thinks is nothing but green propaganda. The Fifth Estate interviews several high profile climate activists, but never presents factual material that counters the green narrative. Likewise, they focus on the difference of views of Premier Danielle Smith of Alberta and federal Environment and Climate Change Minister Stephen Guilbeault as a 'culture war' rather than educating the public about Alberta's practical and real challenges vis a vis the power grid and Guilbeault's 'clean electricity' legislation. Worst of all, CBC's Susan Ormiston heightens the radicalization of climate action in her comments to NASA climate scientist and Extinction Rebellion-aligned activist Peter Kalmus. Though CBC interviews Sophia Mathur, a youth climate activist who is part of a law suit against the Ontario government, they do not reveal that Sophia's mother is herself a long-time activist, Al Gore acolyte and closely associated with the green corporate "We Don't Have Time" backers of Greta Thunberg. Neither do they bother to interview the expert scientist in the Mathur case, Prof. William van Wijngaarden, who published a 43 page report showing that Ontario's contribution to global warming is negligible and there is no climate emergency.
