BLYTHEVILLE, Arkansas --- Body camera footage released Thursday shows the moment a Blytheville police officer opened fire on Marzues Scott the night of April 7.
Scott, 35, can be seen in surveillance video arriving at the Dodge convenience store earlier that night and attacking one of the employees.
Officer Leann Norman, who had only been on the job for 10 months, arrived at the scene about 20 minutes later and found Scott outside the Deerfield Inn across the street.
Upon approaching him, she repeatedly orders him to her patrol car, but he doesn’t respond.
At one point, he begins approaching her and she starts shouting for him to get back. She then falls to the ground and fires at Scott twice.
In the video, Norman says, “He hit me in the face twice. I had no choice.”
A witness interviewed four days later by police supported Norman’s account.
“He jumped on her, he got up to her and they went down,” Deerfield Inn manager Jeff Sharp can be heard saying in a police interview.
“Then he got up and started after her again and that’s when she shot him a second time,” Sharp said.
It’s not yet clear how many times Scott was shot, police said, but he was struck at least once. They’re waiting for an autopsy and toxicology report to determine if a second bullet hit him.
Friday, prosecutors wrapped up their review of the case and decided not to file any criminal charges against Norman.
“This is obviously traumatic. It’s traumatic for the officer. She’s been 10 months on the job, she’s done a good job so far,” said Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson.
Thompson said the department’s internal investigation is still ongoing, but that Norman will be free to return to her normal duties.

San Antonio police release body-cam video of West Side shooting that left 2 dead, officer injured. The shooting happened around 11:27 a.m., April 16, in the 2300 block of Pinn Road when Officer Tyler Sauvage, a five-year veteran, conducted a traffic stop on a blue pickup truck.
Officer Tyler Sauvage made a traffic stop of a vehicle occupied by three individuals. During the stop, one of the occupants opened fire on the officer striking him on his hand. Sauvage managed to retreat and return fire, killing the passenger - 25-year-old Alex Anthony Garcia - as well as the driver, Sammie Joe Barbosa, 33.
A third occupant, a 22-year-old woman whose name hasn't been released, was graved in the upper torso by a bullet.

Luna County, NM - On February 4, 2021, New Mexico State Police Officer Darian Jarrott initiated a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet pickup on Interstate 10 eastbound, near mile marker 102 east of Deming, New Mexico.
During the traffic stop, Officer Jarrott asked the driver, identified as Omar Felix Cueva, 39, of Deming to exit the vehicle. Cueva exited the driver’s side holding an AR-15-style rifle and fired 11 shot at Officer Jarrott as he was walking to the rear of the vehicle. Officer Jarrott ducked and fell onto his back as Cueva ran around the back of the pickup toward Officer Jarrott. Cueva fired several more rounds at Officer Jarrott who was struck by gunfire and killed. As Cueva ran toward the front of the truck on the passenger’s side, he shot Officer Jarrott point-blank in the back of the head. A Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agent arrived on scene and notified New Mexico State Police dispatch that an officer was down. A broadcast was put out to state and local law enforcement agencies. New Mexico State Police Officers Lionel Palomares and Sonny Montes located Cueva traveling east on Interstate 10 near mile marker 116. Cueva pulled over and fired at Officers Palomares and Montes. The officers returned fire at Cueva who continued to evade officers, traveling east on Interstate 10.
As Cueva fled eastbound on Interstate 10, law enforcement officers from the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD), the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office (DASO), and U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) assisted New Mexico State Police with the pursuit. Near the Picacho exit on Interstate 10, (near mile marker 135), NMSP officers successfully utilized tire deflation devices on Cueva’s pickup. Cueva continued to flee east on Interstate 10. Various law enforcement officers engaged Cueva in gunfire as he fled. DASO Deputy Jerod Huston fired rounds from his department issued rifle near the mile marker 136. DASO Deputy John Signore fired at Cueva near the mile marker 138 eastbound. Near mile marker 139, USBP Agent Oscar Delgado fired one round at Cueva as he passed. LCPD Officer Adrian De La Garza then utilized a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) maneuver near mile marker 140. Prior to the pickup coming to a stop, Cueva exited the pickup armed with a firearm and shot multiple rounds towards the officers and deputies. LCPD Officer Adrian De La Garza and DASO Deputies Diego Herrera and Obed Marte returned fire towards Cueva, who was struck several times by gunfire. Critical Incident Briefing: Officer-Involved Shooting near 23rd Avenue and Indian School Road

The Phoenix Police Department released a Critical Incident Briefing (CIB) video that includes audio, visuals and information related to an officer-involved shooting which occurred in the early morning hours on November 30, 2020 in the area 2300 West Indian School Road.
At approximately 2:00 a.m., Phoenix Police Officers from the Cactus Park Precinct responded to a report of a man acting strange and appeared to be jumping onto vehicles as they were driving near Indian School Road and 23rd Avenue. The caller told 911 that he had seen the man earlier in the night and that he appeared normal but when he saw him again, he appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
“He’s trying to jump on the car, and tries to, to hit him…, to hit the car with his body,” the caller told the 911 operator. “Yeah. He’s on 23rd Avenue and Indian School.”
The two officers arrived within minutes of the call and saw the man matching the description walking in the middle of the roadway. Both officers exited their vehicle and immediately noticed a man about 35 feet away armed with a gun.
The man walked toward the officers, ignoring commands to drop the weapon.
When he was within feet of the officers, they shot at the man in an effort to stop the threat.
After the man was shot, he continued to hold on to the gun and officers repeatedly told him to throw the gun away. The man refused to comply. As additional officers arrived on scene, they used a stunbag and baton rounds to get the man to drop the gun.
However, the man did not drop the gun. Approximately six minutes after the initial shots were fired and after the less lethal munition were ineffective, the man pointed the gun at officers once again. Two additional officers fired at the suspect.
The officers continued to work to ensure that it was safe for them to approach the man, but the man continued to move toward the gun.
In order for officers to safely approach, pepper balls were used to keep the man separated from the gun. A police canine was used to the take the man into custody.
Officers rendered medical aid while they waited for fire personnel to arrive.
The man later identified as 33-year-old Ekom Udofia was transported to the hospital where he died.
The gun used by Udofia was found to be a BB gun.

The Atlanta Police Deartment released Body Worn Camera Footage, 911 call and Camera Surveillance Footage Related to the May 18th, 2022, Officer Involved Shooting at 3101 Piedmont Road.
At around 7:00 PM, officers were dispatched to the Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse restaurant regarding an unruly patron later identified as 22-year-old Nygil Cullins who was armed with a handgun.
Officers encountered the suspect inside the business and attempted to escort him out. The suspect was not cooperative and the encounter escalated to a physical altercation. An officer deployed his taser. However, the taser was not effective Police said.
The suspect began heading toward the door of the business when he was tackled by a security guard. At that point, the suspect produced his firearm and fired one round, striking the security guard. This is when an Officer Involved Shooting occurred, fatally striking the suspect. The security guard was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Investigators said Cullins was a former employee of the restaurant.
Cullins’ parents said he was suffering from a mental crisis at the time of the incident and called the police for help prior to the incident but when police arrived 2 hours later Cullins had already left for the restaurant.

The Oklahoma City Police Department released body cam of an arrest of a police Impersonator that occurred on February,. 23-2022.
An OKCPD officer had an unusual stop with a Volkswagen Jetta decked out to resemble a police vehicle. A further search of the vehicle found a disturbing amount of accessories to impersonate law enforcement.

The Volusia Sheriff's Office released Multiple Body Cameras and more informations after the released of a helicopter video footage of a police chase that occurred May 6-2021when a man stole two Cocoa Police Department vehicle in the same pursuit.
It all started on May 6-2021 when Cocoa police were called to check out a report of a suspicious person on I-95. During that investigation, the person, later identified as Xavier Javern Cummings, managed to get into a marked patrol car and took off.
A summary from the incident report is below:
On 05/06/2021 at 1621 hours, deputies were alerted of a pursuit involving a stolen Cocoa Police Department vehicle (FL tag: XF0006) traveling north on I-95, entering Volusia County in Oak Hill. Deputies responded to the area and set up along I-95 with stop sticks. VSO Deputy M Webb successfully deployed stop sticks on the vehicle at mile marker 249 N I-95. A Cocoa police officer successfully completed a PIT maneuver on the vehicle at the mile marker 252 N I-95, which resulted in the stolen vehicle coming to rest in the wood line. Edgewater Police Sergeant C Geiger pinned the vehicle with his patrol vehicle to prevent the stolen vehicle from leaving. VSO deputies and police officers surrounded the vehicle and gave the sole occupant, later identified as Xavier Cummings, commands to exit the vehicle. At that point, Cummings armed himself with a large crowd dispersing pepper spray canister, exited the driver side door, and fled on foot.
Cummings ran directly towards a Cocoa Police K-9 vehicle (2020 Ford Interceptor Utility FL tag: XI1760), which was parked on I-95 at the scene and was unlocked with the keys in the ignition. It should be noted, Cocoa Police K-9 Zena was not inside the vehicle at the time it was stolen. Cummings entered the Cocoa Police K-9 vehicle at the driver's door, still armed with the pepper spray, and sat in the driver seat. A Cocoa police officer deployed his Taser towards Cummings, and struck him in the left side of his torso with one probe, which was ineffective. Cummings was then able to drive away and fled north on I-95 at a high rate of speed with no regard in the now stolen Cocoa Police K-9 vehicle. Deputies and officers began pursuing the vehicle north on I-95. VSO Sergeant J Hattaway and Port Orange police officers successfully deployed stop sticks on the vehicle at mile marker 256 N I-95, which caused three of the tires to deflate. Due to the tire damage, vehicle slowed and came to a stop in the median at mile marker 258 N I-95, Daytona Beach. Cummings was then taken into custody by deputies and police officers without incident.
The suspect’s ID is Xavier Javern Cummings 33 years old. (DOB 12/24/1987).

Flagler County, Florida --- The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) received an alert from Volusia County around 4:30 p.m. that a carjacking suspect from their county was entering Flagler County on I-95 Northbound in a stolen white mail truck. FCSO deputies located the vehicle and took over the pursuit. FCSO Deputies exited their marked patrol vehicles in order to deploy Stop Sticks in an attempt to slow the vehicle as it was driving recklessly and not stopping for marked law enforcement patrol vehicles.
At the time FCSO Deputies were on the side of I-95, the suspect intentionally swerved and drove the mail truck directly toward the deputy. After thankfully missing the deputy, the suspect then swerved to the other side of the road in an attempt to intentionally strike a different FCSO Deputy attempting to deploy Stop Sticks. At that point, the back tire of the mail truck struck the Stop Sticks. The suspect lost control of the vehicle and over-corrected causing the truck to crash into a guardrail at mile marker 280 and flip.

Volusia and Flagler County Deputies were then able to take the sole occupant of the vehicle into custody and transport him to Advent Health Palm Coast for a medical evaluation.
“This is another great example of our agencies working together,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “The suspect immediately told deputies that he was high on meth and cocaine. It is a miracle that no deputies, police officers, or other travelers on the roadway were hurt during the reckless driving of this suspect. I’m especially grateful that his efforts to injure my deputies failed. Criminals need to learn that if you commit crimes in Flagler County you will end up in the Green Roof Inn where you belong.”
The driver, Jesse Estep, DOB 3/24/1990, is being arrested by FCSO for Grand Theft Auto, Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, and two counts Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. He will be transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility once medically cleared by the hospital. He faces charges in Volusia County also.
The Postal Service responded to take possession of their vehicle.
Estep's facing a laundry list of charges in both Volusia and Flagler counties that include grand theft auto, aggravated fleeing and eluding and assault on a law enforcement officer.
He's being held on $70,000 bond.

The Pasadena Police Department released body camera, dash cam, surveillance camera video, pictures of an officer involved in a fatal shooting that occurred August 15, 2020.
PASADENA, Calif –On Saturday, August 15, 2020, an Officer Involved Shooting occurred on Raymond Avenue and Grandview Street after two PPD officers stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation. During the stop, the driver cooperated with officers and admitted he was driving on a suspended license, however, the passenger later identify as 32-year-old Anthony McClain in the vehicle elected to run away. While running, the passenger removed a handgun from his waistband and an Officer Involved Shooting occurred. 32-year-old Anthony McClain died at the hospital later.
The Critical Incident Community Briefing is based upon a preliminary review of the incident, which is still under investigation. Additional facts and evidence may be discovered and will be reviewed.
The Pasadena Police Department conducts thorough Criminal and Administrative investigations into all OIS incidents, which include interviews of witnesses and of the involved officers, eyewitness statements, as well as an analysis of video and forensic evidence. After the investigation is complete, a Use of Force Hearing will commence and the Chief of Police will make a final determination whether the officers involved acted within department policy.
This incident is actively being investigated by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the City of Pasadena will also initiate an independent third party review.

FORSYTH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE - GEORGIA ---
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office released dash cam of a pursuit that occurred on March 25th, a little after 2 AM, a deputy was on GA400 Southbound near exit 13 when he came upon a vehicle with a strong odor of marijuana emanating from it. The deputy ran the tag and learned it had no valid insurance. The deputy attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to stop and fled on GA400 Southbound at speeds in excess of 120mph. Additional deputies successfully deployed stop sticks causing all four tires to go flat. The driver attempted to flee on foot but was pulled off a concrete center median and placed in handcuffs.
“I relied on my training and in being in pursuits before. Our training division does a good job preparing us for incidents like this,” said Forsyth Deputy First Class Enrique Escolano.
“That’s right up there with the most memorable for sure. You don’t encounter stops like that every day, and to finish on the right side of the law and get that stuff off the streets, it made me feel really good. This is our community. This is where we raise our families.” said Escolano.
The driver, 37-year-old Demetris Clay of Atlanta, was arrested and charged with:
* Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute
* Possession of MDMA with Intent to Distribute
* Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute
* Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
* Possession of THC with Intent to Distribute
* Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Drug-Related Items
*Possession of a Fire Arm During the Commission of a Felony
* Fleeing/Attempting to Elude
* Reckless Driving
*Failure to Maintain Insurance
He also had Identifications in fraudulent IDs and credit cards in the vehicle so he was charged with:
* Forgery 2nd Degree
* Identity Fraud
