Salvageable and well built!
The copper winding scrap could have been stuck in there since the motor was last rewound (lacquer dip may have glued it to the stator until I broke it free.)
The issue of stolen content has come up a LOT in the last few weeks, and the biggest issue is sites like Break.com and Liveleak allowing it!.
DCMA reports (copyright claims) are next to useless, and very time consuming to file and finish. provided the person who stole your video does not counterclaim and keep the form bouncing from one side to the other.
Leokimvideo http://www.youtube.com/leokimvideo has had a issue going on for some time where a fellow youtuber stole part of one of his videos and is profiting from it. the theif has has been filing counterclaims every time and youtube refuses to punish him.
My video on Break (notice in every instance they cropped the vid down a bit and encoded it in lower quality)

But as they say, Once its on the web, It never really goes away!
I've found the main limitation of a small domestic fridge compressor, its starting device won't allow short cycling. it also lacks the start torque to start under high load.
