"Not in Our Name" - Jewish Protesters and Allies ARRESTED at Bernie Sanders office - "Let Gaza Live"
October 25, 2023 – WASHINGTON DC: Jewish protesters demanding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip were arrested outside Senator Bernie Sanders' office on Capitol Hill after briefly occupying it. Protesters blockaded the entrance and chanted and made speeches before Capitol Police moved in and arrested the group. Incident occurred today around 2pm in the Hart Senate Office Building on the US Capitol Complex.
This is the same group that occupied the Cannon House Office Buildings last week and were mass arrested.
May 05, 2020 - QUEENS, New York:
A large vigil was held at the Queensbridge Houses today.
William Daniels, aka Kiing Shooter, died this week following medical issues while being hospitalized. He was recently signed to Nas’ label, Street Dreams Records.
Police arrived to disperse the crowd of about 50 people around 2pm, eventually calling for backup. The crowd that had gathered slowly and peacefully dispersed. This reporter overheard police then tell the crowd to to move to Queensbridge Park, not far away.
The police blocked the entrances to the park and allowed the vigil to take place inside for about an hour. After the hour had passed, this reporter witnessed 3 females being led out of the park in handcuffs and loaded into police vans while screaming and kicking. The NYPD then used the loudspeakers to announce that these gatherings are against the law and to disperse the crowd.
We are not aware what, if any, charges were brought against those arrested.

May 6 2020 - MANHATTAN, New York:
For the first time in its history, the Metropolitan Transit Authority shut down the New York City subway system. We were given access to one station as they cleaned the subway cars. After a short period of time the police ushered press out of the station. One homeless man was begging to be allowed to stay on the train as the police closed the station for cleaning, and kicked everyone out.
Subway Shutdown moves 150 Homeless from Transit System to Shelter System, for deep cleaning of stations and trains, social workers and cops provided outreach to 250 people.

One in custody after a Jewish man was assaulted during yesterday's demonstration in Times Square.
Hate Crime Task force is investigating as a possible hate crime.
Fights broke broke out minutes after pro-Israel rally began and pro-Palestine counterprotest arrived in Times Square. Dozens of fights and Arrests.
Police chased protesters through the streets as they tried to keep the two sides apart. Trash cans, plants and barricades were thrown, while some of the Pro-Palestine protesters continuously fixed the things that were knocked over, at one point a rack of sunglasses was pulled down, some protesters returned the glasses and apologized to the store owner.
The event scheduled was a Pro-Israel rally.

August 16 2021 - QUEENS, New York:
Hundreds of corrections officers gathered at the Rikers Island sign to demand an end to triple shifts, sexual assaults on COs, and for better treatment by the executives and government.
There were unconfirmed reports of corrections officers walking off of their jobs at Rikers Island and Centre Street.
A representative for Eric Adams began speaking to the crowd and said Adams is out of the country, the crowd booed and chanted "he's not here."
Candidate Curtis Sliwa then addressed the crowd to a big applause and cheer and said he won't be in the Hamptons or out of the country but he'll stand with the Corrections Officers.
The crowd was retired and off-duty COs and representatives of the union COBA.
A small counter protest gathered across the street with a sign that read, "Rikers Island is a Death Sentence."
At one point, a counter-protester came into the crowd with a small child strapped to her chest. She shouted "close the jails" and "free them all" while people around her shouted and chanted "you've got to go." NYPD eventually were able to force the woman to leave the crowd.

June 20 2021 - BRONX, New York:
Mayoral candidate Eric Adams spoke about the 42-year-old campaign volunteer who was stabbed while canvassing for Adams today in the Bronx.
Adams said that there was some dispute taking place before the victim was stabbed multiple times outside of the Bronx campaign office.

November 1 2021 Staten Island, New York - Protest in Staten Island where people gathered outside Sanitation Department to speak up against the Vaccine mandates.
After speaches, protesters started blocking the roadway to stop Sanitation Truck from leaving its station in Staten Island.
"I am willing to die for this" says Danny Presti about fighting against the mandates.
At least five people were arrested at the scene.

April 07 2020, 12PM - MANHATTAN, New York: Parks are filled with people enjoying the warm weather and getting their exercise as Manhattan remains on lockdown 2 weeks after Governor Andrew Cuomo's New York State on PAUSE order.
A general sense of social distancing seemed to be followed in Morningside Park and Central Park, and the streets continue to be much emptier than on usual New York City weekdays.
