LYRICS
EDFYING THE GATES
We escape at dawn
I will cut up the path once more
Through the steaming blood
We will overcome the walls they hold
These iron gates will be raised
The stone cracks beneath my feet as I strain
Loose their arrows in vain
Let them fly as I remain unscathed
Braving the city gates, challenge their arms
I am a beast they cannot hold
Daring them to come out, to end my charge
They cannot win but they can try
Swing the blade
Defying the gates
These walls will now finally break
Crack the chains
Defying the gates
I refuse to be ended here
You're just a thorn in my side
The vultures gather, but not for me
Come test my steel, just try
I refuse to be ended here
Loosed arrows fly by my side
The vultures gather for their feast
When this gate is open you die
I refuse to be ended here
Loosed arrows fly by my side
The vultures gather for their feast
When this gate is open you die
Braving the city gates, challenge their arms
I am a beast they cannot hold
Daring them to come out, to end my charge
They cannot win but they can try
Swing the blade
Defying the gates
These walls will now finally break
Crack the chains
Defying the gates

Lyrics:
No lights on the horizon
Only the sound of the silent waves
Ought to be here long ago
Send you another code
Noise getting closer far away
They all want to make you stay
But listen to your common sense
I say run, run, run
Dont be caught at the end of the day
They might just kill you too
Dont be caught in this winter night
The darkness will help you right through
Up cross the hill, nowhere to go
Theres no peace in the valley below
So see the sign of the deep red cross
And feel the breath of the hunting wolves
But this is no running show
Dont feel like Quasimodo
I know it seems like a big refrain
Never let it destroy your brain
Dont be caught at the end of the day
They might just kill you too
Dont be caught in this winter night
The darkness will help you right through
Inside yourself there is no light
Only the swells of the last big fight
And so there aint a thing to do
We cant get into you
Dont you know whats going on
Youre still alive cause youve got it all wrong
If this is just what it seems
Then now leave your dreams
So dont be caught at the end of the day
They might just kill you too
Dont be caught in this winter night
The darkness will help you right through

LYRICS
Midnight, there's a danger in the air
Rising from the ground, do you care
Cry out, will you ever see the daylight
You better turn around and walk away
Was the journey cold that gave you eyes of steel
When the autumn calls your name
You got to be strong when the lightning strikes again
You don't want the rainbow to be gone
Into the fire, blowing your dreams away
Taking you higher, you are blinded by the lies
Into the fire, memory fades away
Taking you higher, like water in the sand
Ride away, because your time is running out
Out from the darkness, into the light
Do you ever feel the emptiness inside
Because I can see the fire in your eyes
You got to be strong when the lightning strikes again
You don't want the rainbow to be gone
Into the fire, blowing your dreams away
Taking you higher, you are blinded by the lies
Into the fire, memory fades away
Taking you higher, like water in the sand
Notes about the song by Claes Hernegård.
I'm a big fan of horror movies. This song is about Freddy Krueger and Nightmare on Elm Street. It's scary when he goes into their dreams and chases them. I wanted an intro where you could hear Freddy scratching the handrail on hsi way down to the boiler room. We unfortunately forgot to bring it. In the intstrumental middle section you can hear the victims running to escape Fredyd but finally he gets them. The slow part is inspired by Rainbow's "Gates of Babylon".

LYRICS
The objective for the flight to the stars
was the january of '86
they worked as fast as they could at that time
no thoughts dissipated to setbacks
working all day and night
most of them surrendered and died
merciless speed is rushing daily life
no time to stop, to die
time waits for none, seeking our life
we are running to nowhere
merciless speed
the crew was ready and fastened their belts
the countdown had begun
a multiple gravitation they stood
and entered the bright blue sky
men always fight inertia
the veins blew out by the pressure
(REFRAIN)
Explosion caused by a technical fault
a fireball in the sky
the dashboard shot with a
merciless speed
through their heads, their hearts,
their lungs
pieces flying free
arms, bones and teeth
merciless speed is killing daily life
says time to stop, to die
you move in a suction. you will never get out
you are dying without any hope
merciless speed
(REFRAIN)
