It is cold outside, snow is falling out of season and the whole town is shrouded in fog. Harry takes a good hard look at the map he obtained back at the cafe' and desperately tries to figure out where he should start looking. With no other logical options, he decides to check out the same alleyway where he last saw Cheryl, but he is unsure how to get there. Harry starts walking down the street. He can feel the damp mist sticking to his face and skin. The fog is so thick, he can't see anything beyond ten feet in front of him. All he can see is the pavement of the road beneath his feet and the fain't shadows of the building walls beside him. He sticks by the sidewalk so that he can read the street signs as he tries to figure out where he needs to go. The town is completely dead. Not a single soul or sign of life is in sight. All the shops are closed and all the cars are broken down and deserted. Everything is eerily silent. The only thing Harry can hear is the whisper of the cold wind whipping by his ears and the sound of his own footsteps scraping against the pavement. After traveling down a few streets and passing a couple intersections, Harry comes across a familiar sight. It is the wreckage of his demolished vehicle. The front of the jeep is destroyed, the windshield is shattered and the passenger door is still swung wide open. The Vehicle is totalled, but that is the last thing on his mind. All he can think about is Cheryl. Now that he has finally found his original starting point, he begins to collect his memories of the initial moments after the crash so that he can start to follow in his own footsteps. Harry eventually makes it to the same mysterious wynding alleyway where he chased down Cheryl. He thinks back as to where he lost her, but all he has is a blurry memory of his chase ending in a strange hellish nightmare. He follows the wynding path all the way down to the end and finds Cheryl's sketchbook lying on the ground. Extremely worried sick, but with a small sense of hope, Harry examines the sketchbook. There is a page torn out with the words "TO SCHOOL" written in crayon, in her hand writing. "She's at the school," Harry murmurs to himself. After finally getting some rest at the Motel, Heather and Douglas get ready to split up in search of Leonard Wolf, the only lead Heather has to finding the woman who murdered her father. Douglas decides he is going to search the man's house and heads out the door. Heather decides she is going to look for Leonard at the hospital. She loads up the shotgun and proceeds to venture off out into the vacant foggy streets of Silent Hill.
