Gallien Krueger Bass Amp - Repair... well, not really.
I had a customer bring this in to me suggesting it wasn't working anymore.
I found a nut sitting right on top of the transformer. No shorts, no black marks, no brown smoke escaped.
I checked the amp out, and played it afterwards. Worked amazingly. But all I did was open the case, find the loose nut and that is it. I couldn't even find where it came from.
No clues, no screws or bolts were missing or rolling around inside.

I don't have any poor feelings towards my parents for leaving this world too soon. It inspires me to do whatever I want. I live my dream, as nightmarish as it is right now with the pandemic wiping my industry off the face of the earth. However, I still have parents. They live daily in my head.

My poor old Yamaha THR10 broke. I went to use it for my Zoom lessons, which is currently my only source of income as a lot of my gigs have decreased or completely fallen to the wayside. Low and behold! The power switch was broken clean off. Not sure how it happened, but it happened.
Now, sourcing the right sized switch can sometimes be a hassle, and while I met all the correct dimensions, so the switch would physically fit, I discovered that the actual terminals, despite being advertised as a PCB mount, were in fact just solder lugs for wires. A plan was hatched to see if I could replace the broken parts of the old switch with the toggle I needed from the new one.
Alas! It worked.
