We test the new Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm metal frame pistol on the range.
We put roughly 300-350 rounds through this pistol in our first range test. More shooting and updates will follow.
Results we were impressive and the pistol was a joy to shoot. It provided great accuracy and soft felt recoil. Three dot sights worked fine but this pistol will really shine with a red dot optic.
The trigger was crisp and consistent. However, the trigger lack a tactile trigger reset, not a deal breaker but I was noticeable especially in comparison to other M&P polymer 2.0 frames.
This pistol came from our friends at AIM.

Plenty of people own firearms and think because they do they're prepared to deal with an armed individual who has a weapon, the capability and intent to harm them. The reality is they're likely not really ready.
If you expect to survive an armed encounter, the firearm is only a small party of of the complete personal protection toolbox. Not only do you need training, you also need to stress test your abilities, and skills in as realistic way as possible. Force on force and simulators help accomplish this.
In this video, we discuss the value of using simulators to evaluate not only your proficiency with your firearm but as importantly test your plan for communicating before, during and after the encounter.
Please share you thoughts of training, stress testing, and the use of simulators.

We were sent this micro red dot for testing and evaluation.
We put 300 rounds the the 365 XL using this red dot. The newer version of the CAT Pro boasts longer battery life and a beefed-up housing.
Glass was good as was over all contrast in bright and darker conditions. We found it quick to mount and easy to sight in.
Price point is $180-$200 depending on your retail or online source.

The SRM Arms Model 1216 is a delayed blowback semi-automatic shotgun with a 16-round detachable magazine. Priced at well over $2400, it's a pretty cool shotty but well out of my price range.
