Initial thoughts on the Pageau, Peterson, Vervaeke discussion “Deeper Yet Into The Weeds” posted on Jordan Peterson’s YouTube Channel. The conversation converged on the recurring theme of the nature and relationship between the Nomological Order and the Narrative Order. This distinction and disagreement at first may seem pedantic or more academic, but it is more likely the key question that needs exploration right now. It is both existentiell (to take a neologism from Heidegger) and existential in terms of its profound importance for the continuation of humanity through this apparent technological apocalypse. It's the question of right relationship between Quantity and Quality, between Science and Religion, between Man and Technology, between Heaven and Earth. I share my sympathies with Pageau on the crucial question and importance of the Trinity and its centrality in appropriately orienting oneself towards something like a solution.
