In this episode the BBT sets out to analyze the new Gridseed GC3355 5 chip ASIC (Dual Mode) along with create two new cases, one for the ASIC, one for smaller form factor Graphics Cards.
BBT engineer comes up with a great multi-teir design for the new 6" nVidia GTX 750Ti Series card. The brand we are testing in this revew are the eVGA SC edition of the 750Ti family.
These set of 750Ti's do not require a 6-pin which greatly reduces its power consumption, something nVidia has brought to the table recently in their Maxwell construction.
Basic CudaMiner configuration leveraging T5x24 -C 1 -H 1
With the edition of keeping the Chrome browser open the cards performed remarkably.
Moving on to the riser review, the BBT takes on a task of testing 4 different risers in the same situation; testing the total maximum throughput available during 3dmark game testing. Interesting results coming from the risers!.
And in the last bit of hardware review the BBT team do a deep dive on the Gridseed GC3355 chip and its 5-chip application (using them on a 6x (built for 8x) rig. Initial experience has been great, performance has been acceptable and as long as you handle them delicate, they will last some time.
Performance: 340-350k/h out of box, software modded, near 380k/h; hardware oc from 450k/h.
Full turnkey solution provided by finalhash.com. Look them up, their gridseed prices can be reduced if at checkout you use coupon code: BBT

In this episode the BBT dives into the Sapphire Toxic R9 280x Toxic and its performance hashing, both from a open air aluminum, traditional case both open and closed and finally with some external airflow provided from a fan. Additionally which settings worked best for us for a strong and solid performance.
We build a crazy fast traditional PC to push these cards to the limits both from a mining rig and gaming perspective, figuring with just two why not build an great PC in the process.
Best configuration we found was (Crossfire Disabled):
-I 13 -w 256 -g 2 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1070 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-vddc 1.100
As for the PC build the specs are:
Carbide Series® Air 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case
Intel i7 4770k @ 4.6ghz (stable)
MSI Z87-G45 Gaming LGA 1150 Motherboard
16gb (8x2) Corsair Ballistix Memory
2x 240GB Kingston HyperX SSD - set to Raid0
