A bit of tweaking to the design produced this aircraft which is an improvement over the original. Actually, this is a pretty dull movie since I don't go into space and don't manage to crash it. This design was ultimately able to travel over 1000km and land safely, so it's a viable design for Kerbin and Laythe. Yes I know I kept saying Yaw when I meant Roll, it's hard to narrate while flying this.
At the end of last night's live stream I was challenged to land a spacecraft on the mun without using my hands. So, nose for the keys and face for the mouse....

18 Months on from its early access release the game is still being developed with features being added regularly. In Particular internet rocket scientists who want to clone real world designs find the procedural design mechanic - including simulation of rocket engines - a superior alternative to other games. It also includes a visual automation system called 'Vizzy' that lets designers code write software to fly their rockets instead of trusting their pilot skills. It also supports iPads and other tablets (in theory it supports phones, but the UI is hard to use at these scales).
So, there's a lot to recommend it, but having said that it still lacks a lot when compared to Kerbal Space Program or Orbiter 2016, but there's an audience out there who want to build their own rockets and get turned off by little green men, and this might be perfect for them.

Lots of questions have been asked about the new comms mechanic, so here's some more detail on how the ranges are calculated, how relays work and how crew control changes.

SpaceX finally proved that Starship's signature freefall and landing maneuver can work as claimed using their full scale SN10 prototype vehicle. The flight replicated the previous attempts by SN8 and SN9 right up to the actual landing where almost everything appeared to go as planned.
I say almost because the vehicle may have touched down a little harder than intended and landing legs failed to deploy. The vehicle eventually exploded on the pad as the propellent tanks ruptured.
Because the SpaceX feed ended we don't have any official footage of the Rapid Unscheduled Second Flight so I'm grateful for the independent videographers who were on the scene to record, and in some cases react to the surprise post credits scene.

Trying to give X-Rebirth a second chance, on twitch.tv last night. While the game had a buggy release the developers have been great at taking buggy games at release and fixing them into great titles, so I wanted to give this another chance.
Despite my best efforts the sound effects are terribly low, with the speech being completely inaudible in places.
