Hello Everyone! Welcome to another plane spotting video.

I will try my best to answer any questions.

First time spotting in over half a year and I'm rusty to say the least, as you can see from the quality of the video.
Due to me being busy during my week in NYC, I was only able to spend about 1 hour 45 minutes at JFK just before I drove on to Boston. Unfortunately, the wind did not favour me on this day because it was quite blustery but, also because of a wind shift which meant I got departures instead of arrivals on runway 13R/31L.

Due to the lack of close spotting locations at JFK, I was forced to utilize the full 400mm zoom on my lens. This combined with me forgetting to set up my O.I.S on the lens doesn't make it a nice, smooth video but, still worthy enough to upload. I also want to apologies for a few clips being slightly out of focus (I do use manual).

A number of factors came down to me missing the landing and I blame Iron Maiden for that as they were over an hour early, which really pissed me off. I wasn't sure whether it would be worth it uploading this. I do plan to catch it taking off and hopefully they won't go early. I should mention that I was running to the spotting area and did not take my tripod with me so this is all free-hand and I'm very sorry if it's shaky. Thank You guys for stopping by to watch a sad ending to a long history. This is an historic day for Air New Zealand as the 13 747's (5 -200's, 8 -400's)that served with Air New Zealand over the past 33 years has been the company's greatest success but also the greatest success ever and will ever be in aviation history. This is the last 747 in Air New Zealand's fleet and has been officially retired from the fleet as of 12 September 2014. Although this aircraft is leaving Air New Zealand she will still be flying and is being bought by a leasing company. I'm not going to lie, I could barely contain myself from crying when I was filming and also reviewing my final production and I'm sure you will have cried before this video's end. This Aircraft Reg #: ZK-NBV Aircraft name: Christchurch, named after NZ's second largest city that was rocked by earthquakes in 2010 and 2011. This plane provided resources and used as evacuation for residents that decided to move to Auckland.
