Unfortunately, Cloud fell due to the reactor's explosion. As Chapter 8 began, he landed in a church in the Sector 5 Undercity. He met the flower merchant that he had first encountered in Sector 8. This is Aerith. After resuming, Cloud talks to Aerith. However, rude intruders interrupt their reunion. Cloud will have to fight Reno solo. Reno has high evasion, and he can counterattack. However, if Cloud enters Punisher Mode and has a Deadly Dodge materia equipped, he can effectively counterattack Reno while guarding. Try to dodge EM Shot. Later in the battle, Reno will deploy EM Mines. If an EM Mine hits Cloud with Discharge, Reno will follow up with Shock Swipe. Nasty. If Cloud has a Healing materia with Regen, it will help a great deal. If he has a Poison Materia, Cloud can also get Poison on Reno with the Bio spell, but this is best done while Reno is staggered. After Cloud defeats Reno solo, he helps Aerith escape the church. Unfortunately, the spectres prevent Cloud from claiming a materia on the ground floor. He will have to try to return for it later. Cloud and Aerith escape from the church through the attic after a couple of close calls. They cross the rooftops and eventually make their way back to the ground. Aerith joins the party when they return to the ground. Her focus is on magic. Depending on her level, her Guard Stick can probably be upgraded with another materia slot right away. They head south to the station. Note that the game will not let them return to the church, at least not yet. More events take place when they reach the Sector 5 Slums Station. The station has a convenient vending machine and rest bench. The vending machine sells a Cat Sith's Theme disc. Unfortunately, the arrival of another Turk requires Cloud and Aerith to take the back streets, such as they are, to the slums. The pair begin to make their way through the Scrapyard. Before long, they reach a gate. However, the control fails to open it. The pair will have to take the long way around through Twilight Valley and Steel Mountain. There are some curious dead ends with no treasure, such as Lookout Point. Next time, the party will continue making their way to Aerith's House in the Sector 5 Slums. Thanks for watching! He has earned a total of 271 Job Points as Red Mage. In this video, he will do some more Job Point grinding as Red Mage in Escha - Ru'Aun. Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. In his delivery box, he receives gil for a stack of Wind Crystals and a chunk of Zinc Ore that sold at auction. Many thanks to the buyers! Then, Heorot heads out to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 1:22): Heorot teleports to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 1:49): Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at G-5. Up the hill, he defeats an Air Elemental for a Wind Cluster. Next, he examines the Undulating Confluence at G-5 to enter Escha - Ru'Aun. Escha - Ru'Aun (time 3:42): Heorot arrives at H-11. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he hunts some more Eschan Il'aern in this zone. During the hunt, Heorot acquires another Facility Ring from a locked reliquary. Wonderful! Heorot accrues 5 Job Points for an overall total of 276 Job Points earned. He has a current total of 10 Job Points. When he has finished for now, he uses the Undulating Confluence at H-11 to return to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 45:41): Heorot arrives at G-5. Just down the hill to the west, he uses Home Point #1 at G-5 to teleport to Port Jeuno. Port Jeuno (time 46:18): Heorot trades his Crests to Shami at H-8 for storage. Then, he teleports to Bastok Markets. Bastok Markets (time 48:02): Heorot trades his Copper A.M.A.N. Voucher to Isakoth at E-11. In Mjoll's Goods, he sells his loot to Olwyn at E-11. He has a lot of Sparks of Eminence, so he buys a bunch of Acheron Shields for 2,755 Sparks apiece under Level 71 - 98 equipment and sells them to Olwyn for 27,343 gil apiece. Then, Heorot teleports to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 53:35): At the auction house, Heorot puts a Wind Cluster and a stack of Earth Crystals up for sale. Now, they will take care of the third, "A Menace Sleeps in Fociaugh" in Fociaugh Hollow. The Fociaugh menace dungeon is fairly short at twenty floors with one campsite. They head east from there towards Fociaugh Hollow. Along the way, they rest at Killiam Haven (time 5:23). Ignis again prepares his signature Crispy Zu Skewers. In the morning, the party goes into Fociaugh Hollow (time 7:53). They must open the sealed door within the dungeon's depths. After some spelunking, they reach the sealed door and pop it open (time 15:26). They must now defeat the monster lurking within. Floor 1: Yojimbo (time 16:24). Treasure found: Ammonite Fossil. Ignis reaches Cooking Level 10 and learns the recipe "Golden Tail Soup", which provides a 100% crit rate. The player earns the trophy "Cooking Expert" for reaching Ignis's maximum cooking level. Locke equips a Genji Glove, the Thief's Knife, a Hawkeye, a Priest's Miter, Gaia Gear, and a Thief's Bracer. Terra equips Zona Seeker. Locke equips Bismarck. After resting on the bottom level, the party goes up to the deck and takes the controls. Overworld (time 49:50): The party flies east to Thamasa. They land and enter town. Thamasa (time 50:05): At the weapon shop, the party picks up some more Flame Rods, Ice Rods, and Thunder Rods. They get another Hawkeye, as well. At the armor shop, they pick up another Golden Shield. They sell off some suits of Golden Armor that dropped from Chimeras during their grinding. At the item shop, they pick up a couple more Ethers and some more Phoenix Downs. At the relic shop, they grab another Earring. The party leaves town. Overworld (time 52:37): The party takes the Blackjack southwest to Albrook. After landing, they enter town. Albrook (time 53:03): At the weapon shop, the party picks up some more Shuriken, Flame Scrolls, Water Scrolls, and Lightning Scrolls and another Sakura. Then, they leave town.
