4 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Drive With Your Hazards on in The Rain • Cars Simplified
https://carssimplified.com/ • On the way home from Wicked Big Meet 2018, Steve drove through some rain and saw that there were many people driving in the rain with their hazards on. Being from Florida, he is used to this, but was inspired to make a video full of reasons why driving with hazards on in the rain is more dangerous than helpful.

This is an inertia switch (sometimes called an impact sensor) out of a Ford. Steve takes the sensor apart to show the moving parts inside and to explain how it functions, both mechanically and electronically. Impact switches can be connected to different things, but this one's primary role is to allow power to pass through it to the fuel pump unless an impact with enough force is detected. It will then shut off the fuel pump so that it won't keep running if a fuel line breaks in the accident.
After a car accident with this particular kind of switch, a technician must locate this switch and press the button to reset it. Different switches may self-reset or be a one-time-use design.
On rare occasions, running over a large pothole or other major road imperfection may be enough to dislodge the ball in this switch, causing the fuel pump to stop pumping fuel. This will cause the engine to stop running a few seconds later.

https://carssimplified.com/ - Does your car look like it is sagging or too low? This video will show you how to diagnose the problem so you don't have to throw parts at the problem, as well as help you determine if there is a problem at all! You won't even have to take off your wheels!
Ride height/ground clearance can be affected by suspension damage, sagging springs, worn bushings, worn strut mounts, or even purposely made that way with cut springs or performance springs.

I don't understand ASMR, but Gears & Gasoline makes ASMRs from time to time. I may not have the amazing cinematography skills they possess, but I had time to give one of these a try. I also had just received the Deity D3 Pro microphone I bought and wanted to test it out. Here the stepless gain knob is adjusted to 7, and the Canon Rebel T5i microphone attenuation is turned on.

If you're wondering why I'm shaking the motor oil bottles, it is because they have been sitting for a while, and it's good practice to do that so anything that would otherwise settle gets back into suspension.

https://carssimplified.com/ - Sometimes plastic tools are better for a job than their metal counterparts, and Steve explains why with a few examples, such as the plastic trim removal tool, the Rain-X glass cleaning tool (part number 45544X), and the nylon brush. Material hardness plays a large role, and the Mohs Scale of Mineral Hardness is mentioned.
At the end of the video, Steve talks about the new studio, and why the video has a green background. Normally channel updates are not included in videos.
