Kent Hovind, Walid Shoebat, ChristianPrince, P&P---All on the DL!
First program back after two weeks away! Responded to folks who had directly addressed me in public venues while I was away, including Kent Hovind's falsehoods about the encounter I had with Gail Riplinger in November, 1993, Walid Shoebat's continued "Christian Crusaderism" and Roman Catholic push, ChristianPrince's video harangues, and last Friday's mention by JD Hall that he had been right all along about what the Pope clearly did not actually say back in, as I recall, September.
So I had my opportunity to respond to the firestorm of criticism that erupted over the weekend regarding a 545 word, 2 paragraph item I posted on FaceBook last Friday. In this Dividing Line I address the issue of fatherlessness, Planned Parenthood’s genocide of blacks, the sin of rebellion and disrespect for God-ordained authority, and, most importantly, the fact that the Gospel is race-free. I also addressed specific critics, including Joel McDurmon, who chose to join the “pile” for reasons known only to themselves. A straight forward discussion that will surely only make the ethnic gnostics angrier, but one that had to be undertaken.

Looked at Jared C. Wilson’s comments about Galatians 2 and the subject of race, as well as Duke Kwon’s citation of the same text, by looking carefully at Galatians 2 itself in its context. The social justice attempt to read the NT as a social justice document is indeed troubling, especially since Wilson is very much a part of Midwestern’s training of preachers and teachers. Then we briefly looked at Michael Heiser and what a “Biblical Semiticist” is, and finished up listening to Brandan Robertson proclaiming polyamorous relationships “holy,” and that as a “minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.” Lord willing, we should be doing another program Thursday, and I should have my Coogi shoes by then, unless Rich intercepts the shipment and takes them hostage. So I was a bit worried when Rich said he was going to do something different--and this time I was right. The first part of the program is, well, sadly, not overly useful. I talked with Pastor Derrick Melton about his ministry, my many visits to Pryor, and his knife making skills. Unfortunately, most of that won't work for you. You can skip past all the problems by going to this time stamp. From there we addressed a little Andy Stanley, the upcoming Women's Conference at the SBC, and then I addressed the comments made by Matthew Barrett and Carl Trueman on the new Credo Podcast, which you won't know about if you have ever challenged them at all, since they went on a blocking spree on Twitter today. But it is important to see this move to create a new ecumenism based upon dividing over Thomistic metaphysical formulations rather than, well, the gospel. Troubling times indeed!

Started off with my good friend and brother in the Lord, Dr. Jason Lisle, head of the Biblical Science Institute. Jason and I discussed some of his books and, well, lots of super geeky/nerdy stuff. Then we really shifted gears and I addressed an accusation made against me last week saying that my daring to talk about the textual variant at Luke 23:34 (“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”) is somehow giving “ammunition” to the enemy. Then we moved back to the Reformation history series, filling up a full 90 minutes. Lots of information today on a very wide range of topics! Enjoy!

Jumped all over the place today, to be honest, on a number of topics. One was my insistence that you need to buy and actually read, or listen to, Abigail Shrier’s Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters. I can’t recommend it too highly, even though it is not a Christian work, and hence cannot provide the final answers. Eventually I got around to responding to JD Greear’s tweets about his use of the phrase “gender justice” in 2019.

I started off thinking I’d mainly respond to Ijaz Ahmad’s video today and then open the phones, but alas, I mentioned a little bit about the Coherence Based Genealogical Method in regards to some volumes of the TuT series (Text und Textwert) that had just arrived today and people started asking questions and I ended up saying a LOT more than I had planned about the topic! I finally did get to Ijaz’s presentation, but only got 4 and a half minutes in before had to wrap up. A bit technical today, but that’s why some of you listen to the program, right?

I was on The Line of Fire with Michael Brown an hour before we aired this episode, so Michael joined me to discuss the apologetics contest on Twitter, but then more important things as well after that. Jeff Durbin called in and tried to argue that I, as Master Miyagi, should want him, as Danielsan, to win the contest, should we face each other later this week. I pointed out that Master Miyagi took down the bad guy at the start of the second film, at which point Jeff complained that I am not supposed to know the Karate Kid as well as he does. Eventually, after some technical issues, Michael and I finished up, and I started some background discussion on Ken Wilson’s theory that Reformed theology is nothing more than ancient Manichaeism. We will continue the study tomorrow by listening to the interview between Leighton Flowers and Ken Wilson from 2018, found here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnOMORGM2Qw Visit the store at https://doctrineandlife.co/
