Stoyan Sarg, 2014 - In the absence of RF or sparks, Beta- is required for Cold Fusion in thermally driven E-Cat On December 6th 2014, Stoyan Sarg shared a diagram of how he believed the E-Cat worked, he said it was necessary to split hydrogen and then excite it into the Rydberg state, this would then allow clustering leading to cold fusion. In the absence of radio frequency stimulation or sparks, another option he suggested would be to have a beta- emitter in the fuel in order to get Hydrogen into the right state. Since he understood that the E-Cat was only being heated, he speculated that this was what had to be going on and he suggested 63Ni, which has around a 100 year half life, would be a suitable additive as it has enough natural activity and energy of beta. 63Ni: Emitted beta- particles has max. energy of 66.9 keV What he did not know is the concept that a natural element such as 14C or 40K may be stimulated to emit beta- far faster than their respective half-lives would ordinarily permit. This would become possibly when some part of a metal nearby in solid or liquid phase exceeded 1000ºC according to Alexander Parkhomov. This leads to production of cold neutrinos that stimulate inverse beta- reactions from the otherwise long-lived isotopes.
