Shadow of the Tomb Raider - AMD FidelityFX CAS - Comparison Test Geforce Now.
This is quick test of the new "old" FidelityFX" Contrast Adaptive Sharpening, in which Tomb Raider from 2018 supports. Being one of the few games with the technology I had to test it out on Geforce now. Is not the same to look it from the desktop PC, streaming is different in many ways. The GPU running is server and proprietary drivers it will perform and maybe look different from the consumers GPU's. The video stream is compressed and adjusted for slow connections, frames could drop, image can be in bad quality. From my test I can clearly say having this option on makes the image sharper during play sessions, alto you can barely tell most of the time. Images in the video don't do it favor. For example the Moon in the shot were very jagged in gameplay, like the CAS made it more refine and with a lot of edges. Hands of the Lara also suffer from the same issues. If you can live with few minor issues then keep this option On.
