In iBooks Author, the latest version there is a new widget which gives you a pop-up text box. The way that it appears in the book is an image and the reader taps on it to see the text pop-up. In fact it is also possible to add images into this text box and you have the same possibilities to flow the text around any images you include. ----------------------------------------------- Want to find out when there are new videos on this channel?

I like how with this implementation time is saved by using an API to pull in data. You can then add extra stuff like your own review and rating of the movie.

Last week I tried to charge the Nissan Leaf in a shopping centre and it didn’t work. I thought it would be a good idea to go to a local charge and plug in and make sure it was working as it should be. I went to the local bus station where there is a charger and it puts out up to 7 kW. I plugged in and everything worked perfectly. Not like last week where after plugging in, it lasted for about 30 seconds and then stopped. The problem was with the chargers in the shopping centre and not with the car.
While I was testing the charger another guy turned up with a 2018 Nissan Leaf. I had a quick chat with him and he loves his car just as much as I love mine. Driving electric vehicles is the future, but now. It sometimes amazes me how cheap it is to drive. Apart from there being very little maintenance required the cost of the electric means it’s extremely cheap to run. The cost of the energy is nothing, especially when you plug into a free charger. Today the electricity cost me nothing at the charger at the bus station in St. Feliu de Guixols.

## Road trip to France to test the Reveo RFID card
I recently got the new RFID card from Reveo and I wanted to test it out properly. With the card you can use a wider range of electric vehicle charging points in France. You also get a discount when charging. Instead of paying €3 to connect and use for the first hour you only pay €1.50. The per minute price after the hour is the same at two cents per minute. If you are charging after 9 PM in the evening there is no per minute charging cost.
On the way through towards France we stopped in Figueras at the Nissan dealership. When there are opportunities to put some charge into the car for free it's a good idea to take advantage of that. We arrived in the dealership with about 68% in the battery. While using the excellent facilities available and checking out a campervan conversion of the eNV 200 vehicle we were able to bring the battery back up to 90% before continuing the journey.
This time we took the road by the coast so from Figueras we headed towards Portbou and Cerbere. This was the closest Reveo charging point available. By the time we got to this charging point situated in a parking area by the beach it was time for lunch. Fortunately there was a pizza place open just across the road. We were there for just over an hour and the charging cost €1.78. Unfortunately the charger which is rated at 22 kW was only pumping about 3.3 kW into my 2018 Nissan Leaf. The chargers in France seem to be optimised for use with the Renault Zoe. It's disappointing the Nissan Leaf is only able to pull in at a really slow rate. When using the RFID card it isn't too bad using the time-based charging. It's still worthwhile to plug-in while you're doing something else like eating or having a wander around the town.
The next port of call was the town of Collioure which is a tourist town with a castle. It was a good place to check out and explore while adding electrons to the battery in the 2018 Nissan Leaf. This time we were therefore just over an hour and the cost of charging was €1.62.
Heading back home again using the main road and the motorways, the A9 and the AP 7. We went via Girona and pulled into the shopping centre. Unfortunately, due to the time of day, it was extremely busy. It wasn't going to be easy to put into the underground car parking and use the charging facilities. There was plenty of juice left in the battery to get all the way home so we didn't bother with the charge points. I would have liked to check it out

I'm delighted to have my new Nissan Leaf. Finding out what all the buttons do and just loving the plush luxury of the car. Pro Pilot wasn't working, but only because I had been pressing buttons and turned it off. It was working fine on the way home.
Loads of things to set up, I got into the Nissan Plus thing so the mobile app would work. I can set the climate control to start remotely. See how much battery has charged and tell it to begin charging if I have it plugged in. I can see now in the app I have 81% battery and a range of 231km.
I need to connect the ODB2 dongle to connect Leaf Spy. Not had the time to do it yet. That will give me a load more data from the car and allow me to change some settings if I so desire.
