Here we have something different, something that I don't plan to do all at once, but something I can periodically come back to in order to unlock everything. To summarize, this is a rogue-like quasi-deck builder where we pick a character and navigate some maps to reach Eden. There is a crap load of replay-ability here with things to unlock and all sorts of ways for things to play out differently. The game doesn't really hold your hand either, as it seems I may have been fighting with Saffron with a huge handicap.
So far, Gunner is my favorite, and I think when I go back in, we will give the shield lady a try and see what happens.
And yes, this is literally my first time trying it, so there are still plenty of things that I need to learn. I am willing to crank out the random video here and there to see how long it takes us to reach Eden. I assume it will take less than Eridu since some choices regarding that game made me drop it entirely. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eG3sUDNrPm4
We've returned to the war room to take on Eagle. You have two options on how to go about this mission if you have Max, where you can choose to slug it out on the middle island or you can force your way to his HQ to send him scrambling. The maps are still fairly short at this stage, so you can try it both ways without a large time investment to find something that works for you.
If you chose a CO that is not good at forcing your way through, this map can very quickly become a headache as there is not much space for ground units on the long narrow roads, so I recommend bringing someone who can throw a punch if you do not want to bring Max for some reason.

This is seeing how the characters react after the developments of the completion of the fourth stratum. Due to its brief nature, you can see that there aren't any major bombshells, but we will do this for the sake of completion.

Things diverge quite a bit here in our quest to recover Langrisser. An original character is introduced here who gives us the mission to go backward. She is being chased, and it looks like the determining factor here is whether or not they catch her. We opt to save her, which puts us here and in position to make yet another choice...

I am putting the warning in the title since I think the language gets a little rough in this one.
This is my second game as Mr. Mime and part way through, I learn the Confusion/Barrier combo, which is horribly broken. You can actually start doing it as soon as you have Confusion provided you can line the enemy up with the wall or have allies who generate terrain. This combo deals obscene amounts of damage and can turn things around. I was not a fan of Mr. Mime right away since I was trying to use Barrier as you know, a barrier, but it turns out it has a very high power offensive use.
Anyway, after this, I am going to start uploading an entire day's worth of games up, so expect the videos to get a little longer as I start grinding ranked.

We get some recruits here beyond just Gen, the most important of which being Lute, then Riki. Both of them have their own stories, and whatever we do on them here will transfer over. For that reason, the first part of this playthrough will be the longest as I am learning to play the game and build resources. Once I know and have both gear and skills, I can speed through some of the later stuff.
Lute is the most important recruit here as he is usually the easiest character to recruit in the game, meaning anything you gain on him can be shared. This will make other playthroughs easier and will allow me to maximize my benefit from time spent.
Riki takes a lot for me to learn as the monster class is fairly weird. We can gain skills upon defeating enemies, and the skills we have determines the form of the monster. The form is what largely determines their stats, so you will want to follow a specific route in order to achieve the strongest forms (which I think I will do in a later playthrough).
The brevity of this video is partially due to me learning as we go and that I am making a party of different races. Don't worry, things will continue to get complex when I finally reach the first mystic, but that will be a different video.
Otherwise, we complete our business in this area, which is going to lead to more confusion, so something to look forward to in the next video.

People have continuously asked for this and the time has arrived. We return to the defining love story of the channel (Giselle and Michel who?) and this time look at the world though Lizzie's eyes, which are somewhat one-track. Time has passed from the previous game and our protagonists find themselves in college trying to scrape by while KoiTec has been allowed to continue operating unchecked. Both fear that they will have to confront the company sooner or later, and we will find out if this is the time and place where they do...

We've exhausted everything there was to find on the male route, so the time has come to explore the other side. Due to the change in gender, the way characters behave around us will as well. Namely, the Vogels become more friendly while Shizuka becomes more hostile. Still, it will take a little while for us to get there, so hold out for the next video when we can play the first game.

With all of the footwork done, the only thing left is to crunch some numbers. While the pencilnecks do their part, we make preparations of our, tackling the labyrinth and even making an accessory to give to Rean later. Once we have everything we are going to get, we need to go out and give them hell...

I escaped from a lot of fights while setting up Hong's stuff, so I figured to go the rest of the way. If you do not have someone who can spin the enemy, you will need to lure the feline off the wall and strike it diagonally. As long as it does not move again as the result of the attack, it essentially self-destructs.
Initial reports were that this was removed, but conclusions reached were that people were standing directly behind the boss instead of diagonal.
