2018 was the most difficult year of my life, from being the year of my first breakup, to this YouTube channel rapidly dying, to my emotional state deteriorating fast as I lived alone and 6 hours away from friends and family. That year I also was challenged with my most difficult college classes yet, intense loneliness, and with Minecraft as a game dying on YouTube, there was little hope that I could pick up my channel. I tried and failed to transfer my degree to game design and development 3 times, and was demotivated to continue Computer Science. 2019 changed everything with the Hytale announcement trailer (late 2018 but let's call it 2019). 6 months later, Hypixel SkyBlock took that newfound momentum and multiplied it 10 fold. Along the way I made some new friends, including Fezzy the Frog, BrandonCrafter, Akinsoft, Codiak, BajanCanadian, the First Place Frags crew, the entire BlockShot Network team, the Minecraft Saturday and BLC teams, and countless others. Not only did my video quality get 100 times better, but I was able to start livestreaming every day towards the end of the year. Here we are with almost triple the subscribers we had at the start of the year, and getting enough views / ad revenue and stream donations to finally call YouTube my career. Now I can say with confidence that I can not only afford my schooling, but I can walk out debt free a year and a half from now with my degree I couldn't have done it without all of you guys, and especially Fezzy. Thank you for everything man, those edits are crazy good and keeps everyone coming back for more ThirtyVirus content.
